A must try newly opened trendy Art Deco gem!!!

The newly opened Sommerro Hotel in Solli Plass Oslo was a conversion project of the old electricity company. It’s filled with carefully implemented design details in very corner as you manoeuvre in. Tried the afternoon tea set today and was stunt by the matching tailored chair covers and culinary designs. The auto play Steinway Grand piano is also said to be a proud layout. Services are professional and properly trained, (mind you, Norwegian aren’t known for attentive nor up to date standard hospitality manners). Foods are well presented and finally some authentic English High Tea!(high standards for Norway market! ) A definite must Check Out Spot! Shall be back to try out more of the other facilities. #oslo #norway #hightea #afternoontea

DFS Cruise: Affordable Prices from Copenhagen to Oslo

This time, we introduce the DFS cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo. Although this cruise journey only lasts one day, you can still enjoy the spectacular scenery between Norway and Denmark. The DFS cruise offers standard accommodations and services, including exquisite dining, entertainment facilities, and various activities. The ship features a variety of restaurants, bars, and leisure facilities. If you're not interested in these, you can still enjoy the magnificent views of the Norwegian fjords and the charming Danish coastline during the voyage. The prices are also quite reasonable; if you don't have high demands for the room and book early, you can get a double room for just a few dozen euros.

Very nice food options and value

Pancakes were fluffy and enjoyable as well. Simple yet delightful. I was maybe overwhelmed by the cream but that’s just me personally. The staff were nice. The soft scrambled eggs merguez were so light and fluffy yet hearty and well cooked. Good value for money in food, although the tea was quite expensive considering that it didn't have much flavor. The tofu bowl was very large, which I loved, because it was delicious, the tofu was very crunchy and the ingredients were fresh and it was a little bit spicy. I would definitely go again. #europetrip

EXPENSIVE CITY OF NORWAY

#eurotrip Nestled at the top of Oslofjord and surrounded by lush forest, this capital city of Norway is also known as the most expensive city in the world. Still remember the moment i landed into Oslo airport, bus fare from airport to city centre cost me around 20 euro which was the most expensive public airport transpotation i have ever paid in my entire journey as traveller. Despite the high living cost here in this capital city, there are still an option for accomodation for budget traveler to explore this beautifull city. Features with world class museums, amazing architecture, It is no doubt this city has a lot to offerr to tourist. Also it is perfect base to start your scandinavian exploration as flight connection to this city was great and affordable. #awesomepic #scandinavian

Bygdøy Peninsula

#bucketlistreboot Bygdøy Peninsula Bygdøy is situated on the western side of Oslo. It is a popular recreation area and the place where the most expensive properties in Norway are found. To get there, we took a ferry from City Hall to Bygdøy. Bygdøy is also the home of five national museums. We visited four of these (mentioned below), except for the Norwegian Maritime Museum. At the museums you will experience and learn about the Norwegian spirit, the explorers and history from the Viking age till today. This is a great place to go and spend a day and perfect for the kids as well. #norway #oslo #urbanexplorer

🚢 Explore into a whole new world - FRAM Oslo 🇧🇻☃️

🚌 Located in Oslo, you can take bus no.30 to its western terminus and explore FRAM - a museum about Norwegian historic polar explorations cruises 🚢 🏘️ Housing two polar exploration vessels - Fram and Gjøa, the museum will teach you how adventurous the Norwegians are...😮 In fact, this is the only country in the world which claimed land in both the Arctic and the Antarctic! 😍🇧🇻 📖 From science to all the historic legends, from movies to the actual story books - this museum has them all. ☃️ What's more, you can also walk into the narrow compartments of the vessel Fram 😋, to have a glimpse of how shipmen lived in the boat for 4 consecutive years! 🕣 If you have time, why not explore the Norway folk museum, which is just 10 minutes away from here? 😃 The museum is so fantastic that even Norwegian families themselves love to go! 😮 So what are you waiting for! Buy a ticket and get going! 🎫✈️ #2023旅行願望 #境外遊 #awesomepic #urbanexplorer #mytripvlog #tripblazers #passionpassport #celebratewithtrip #bucketlistreboot

Norsk Folkemuseum 🇳🇴

#summerdestinations During my summer vacation in Oslo, I had a delightful visit to the Norsk Folkemuseum, a fantastic open-air museum that offers a deep dive into Norwegian culture and history. 🏛️🌳 Located on Bygdøy Peninsula, the museum's entrance fee is about 180 NOK (around $18), which includes access to over 150 historical buildings and exhibits. What really stood out was the traditional Norwegian architecture, including the stunning stave church from the 1200s. The museum also features live demonstrations and traditional crafts that give a vibrant picture of Norwegian life from past centuries. 🇳🇴🏠 Nearby, you can explore the Viking Ship Museum or enjoy a scenic walk along the Bygdøy coastline. This museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in Norwegian heritage and history! #trip #localguides #NorskFolkemuseum #OsloHistory #NorwegianCulture #Bygdøy
