I booked this B&B for Xu Liang's Suzhou concert, and although it wasn't cheap, it was worth it. The environment and facilities were good, exactly as pictured. The location is excellent, very close to Changmen City Wall, and right next to Shantang Street for strolling (though I find Shantang Street less interesting than Pingjiang Road, but both are commercial ancient streets overall). I initially thought it would be noisy near Changmen Street, but it was actually very quiet at night, making for a comfortable sleep đ€. The owner offers personalized service through a private WeChat group, providing recommended travel routes and restaurants. The only minor downsides were that I thought the river view outside the window would be charming, but the water sometimes had a slight odor (closing the window helped), and the river nearby was under renovation, which was a bit of an eyesore. However, when sitting by the window, you can't really see that area anyway.

Perfect location, lovely hosts, beautiful room with vintage furniture and super soft blanket! Very authentic. During the day time itâs super loud because of the amount of tourists, but staying in this place gives you unique opportunity to explain the town in the very early morning or very late evening (the lights switch off at 23:00).
The room can seem small, but itâs old town, it canât be different:)
Unfortunately there was no tea provided, thatâs sad for tea-famous country, maybe should be improved. Other than that â my stay was amazingâșïž

Located within the Old East Gate scenic area, this beautiful guesthouse greeted us with a charming creak as we opened the door. The decor blended seamlessly with the old house, and the scent was lovely. On the rooftop, there were adorable little animals, and it was my first time seeing a weasel! However, the 'flower-viewing' attic room can get noisy at night due to its proximity to a bar. We were warned about this before checking in, but if I stay here again, I'll definitely book a different room.

The inn's location is fantastic, directly across from the Lion Grove Garden, and very close to the Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, making sightseeing incredibly convenient! I had originally booked the smallest room in the inn. When I arrived, I asked the owner if a free upgrade was possible, as many guests had mentioned being upgraded. Without a second thought, the owner immediately upgraded me to the largest roomâthe service was truly exceptional! The room decor was beautiful, especially the large bed, which perfectly embodies classical Chinese aesthetics. There was also a tatami tea table and a small arhat bed. The front desk even provides a sewing kit for mending clothes, all of which speaks volumes about the owner's excellent service. I'm definitely planning to stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

The room came with kids' slippers and dental kits, and the location is super close to the main attractions â it's a quiet spot in a lively area, very convenient for traveling with kids! The butler service was incredibly thoughtful and warm; they sent daily activity reminders and responded to messages super quickly. When my child accidentally broke the electronic scale, their first concern was if anyone was hurt. This time, the cherry blossoms had already fallen, and it was raining, so besides the weather not cooperating, everything else was fantastic. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit!

Beautiful building full of charm and character. It feels like you're staying in a museum, in a positive sense. The location was very convenient, right next to the entrance of the water town. The employee who welcomed us was lovely, he recommended good places to eat and explained the ticketing to the water town. However, some things should be improved, such as terrible sound insulation, bad smell in the bathroom, and leaking shower.

This guesthouse is absolutely, positively incredible!!! The wonderful staff even gave us a room upgrade! Seriously, hands down the best service I've ever experienced at a guesthouse within a scenic area. Inside, there's a charming little garden, and the views from the second floor are absolutely stunning!! You know that feeling when you wake up early, open your window, and a gorgeous garden is right outside?! Pure bliss!!!!!! (It's so picturesque, even unedited photos turned out amazing!!)

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street â all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

This inn is in such a beautiful location. I only stayed one night, but definitely want to come back and stay longer. The host was warm and friendly. We connected on WeChat the day before and she provide a waypoint for gps when booking a car. She met up with me in the pedestrian street outside of the townâs gate to guide me in and helped with the luggage. The location is very convenient. This is an ancient town so the street surfaces are stone slabs and uneven cobblestones. But going in is mostly smooth, cross one bridge and the inn is right there, about as close to the entrance and as least hassle as you can get. The waterway in front of the inn is travelled by the row boats whether theyâre on the day or evening tour route so thereâs plenty to people watch from the balcony. Overall a great place, great host, and highly recommended. Little tip, if you can store luggage at the airport or train station, take only what you need for your stay so you donât have too much luggage to weigh you down for the trek in and out. The balcony rooms are walkup only.

This B&B is right by the ticket office for Zhouzhuang's Shen Hall, making ins and outs super convenient. The environment is lovely, and the family room has a terrace perfect for enjoying tea, which the kids really loved. We parked in a nearby parking lot, and there's a shuttle service that takes you directly to the B&B, so the service is great. Downstairs, there's a restaurant associated with the B&B, and the food quality and value for money are excellent.

SStanley The Travel ManI arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didnât want to bother any hotel owner.  I didnât and still donât  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didnât advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didnât know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.Â
I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.Â
This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you wonât hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has itâs own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.Â
After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge . Â If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass. Â Do check with the owner for up to date information.Â
The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.Â
Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances.
The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.Â
This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.Â
I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I donât think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldnât get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you canât enter the area without a ticket.Â

GGuest UserOn my way to university, I was lucky to be able to relax in such a poetic and warm place. From the quaint decorations to the warm lighting, it was all pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable and soft, equipped with a dehumidifier, and the northerners could easily stay, giving me a full rest during my tired journey.
The service of the inn is even more impeccable. Everyone is warm and friendly. I just bid farewell to my family and feel the warmth of home again.
In addition, the surrounding environment of the inn is also very beautiful, with both quiet alleys and convenient commercial streets.
In short, this inn was a highlight of my trip and I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends.
I wish you a happy life and all the best!

GGuest UserFirst of all, the location is superb, right on Pishi Street, with plenty of great food and shopping options right outside. Geyuan Garden and Heyuan Garden are within walking distance, making it convenient to go anywhere. Parking is convenient and free for those driving. The owners, a chubby young man and his wife, are very kind and even offered to add an extra bed for my child, making it very comfortable. The three cats that manage the shop are quiet and friendly, which my child absolutely adores. There's also a myna bird on the third-floor terrace that says âhello.â The coffee in the lobby is delicious and fragrant, perfect for children to do their homework and play at the same time. The rooms are clean and tidy, and toiletries and even toner are provided. They also have Muji Dyson white tea and cinnamon tea, which is quite tasteful. The staff doesn't ask for good reviews and even gave us a little surprise before we left, showing great care. I hope they maintain this level of attention; I've already recommended it to my friends.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located within Zhouzhuang Old Town, making it convenient to visit nearby museums. If you enter the old town after 5 PM, you can avoid the entrance fee. The hotel is also situated next to a temple, but unfortunately, the temple is currently under renovation and not open to tourists.
One issue to note is the presence of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring insect repellent.
Zhouzhuang offers a stunning night view â highly recommended! Donât miss the boat ride; it costs 220 yuan per ride and can accommodate up to 6 people, including infants.
GGuest UserWe really love this hotel. The owner, husband and wife so friendly. They contacted us days before we checked in and sent lots of very usefull information about their location, Suzhou attractions and local food choices. Upon our arrival, the husband welcome us with fresh fruits.
Around a week before our stay, we ordered taobao with the hotel as the delivery location, we ordered quite a lot of stuff and the owners helped us to keep the packages for a couple of days. When we got there and received our orders, we discovered that it was still in very good shape and are well kept. As a matter in a fact, there are still some orders from taobao that we placed that still haven't arrived yet. We informed the owners and they agree to help us keep the packages until we visit there again in April.
The hotel location is perfect, very near within walking distance to Suzhou Museum, Humble Administrator Garden and Pingjiang street. The metro station is also very near, around 200 meters, 5 minutes on foot.
The room is very clean with lots of space for 3 of our big luggages. The room is complete with a private sauna which is very special during this winter time. The room heater works perfectly and there's also a heater on the bed to keep us warm while sleeping.
We enjoy our stay and wish to thank the owners for their hospitality. We will definitely stay here again.
