『Harazuru Grand Sky Hotel』 ✻ Room & Onsen Edition I visited Harazuru Onsen in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture 🚗³₃ This is the hotel where I stayed. We stayed as a pair, but the room was a triple room. The spacious room offered a view of the Chikugo River from the window. The hot spring here is called "Bijin no Yu" (Beauty Bath)♨️ It features natural hot spring water with weak alkaline simple springs and simple sulfur springs. The large public bath had both an indoor bath and an open-air bath, though I couldn't take photos. Guests can also enjoy free private baths (reservation required). The private bath was a spacious hinoki (Japanese cypress) bath♨️ The room also had a unit bath for convenience. Amenities were provided in a washroom that resembled a kitchen. After the bath, I enjoyed coffee milk w The lobby on the first floor had plenty of books available. There were also karaoke and table tennis facilities. Nestled in the mountains, the lakeside dam is often a hidden gem for cherry blossom viewing. In Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture, "Minaike Lake" is home to the Terauchi Dam, which is also one of Japan's Top 100 Dam Lakes. Surrounding the dam, numerous cherry trees have been planted, especially near the observation deck and downstream plaza, making it a secret cherry blossom viewing spot known only to locals. Around Minaike Lake, you'll also find the water-themed amusement park "Amagi Water Culture Village," which is divided into an aquaculture area, a green sports area, and a waterfront leisure area. #FukuokaSakura In Asakura City in Fukuoka Prefecture there is a mountain castle ruin called Akizuki. Not only does it have rich mountain and river scenery, it also retains the traditional streetscape. It was once prosperous and was known as the "Little Kyoto of Chikuzen." The 500-meter-long tree-lined road leading to the Akizuki Castle ruins is called the Akizuki Sugi-no-Bao. There are about 200 cherry trees on both sides of the road. The cherry blossom tunnel formed when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom is a stunning sight. Amagi Park, a lesser-known cherry blossom spot in Fukuoka Prefecture, is located in Asakura City, southeast of Fukuoka. This expansive public park features a gourd-shaped Maruyama Pond at its center, surrounded by approximately 4,000 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino, Yamazakura, and Yaezakura varieties. Every spring, the park transforms into a breathtaking sea of blossoms, earning it the nickname Maruyama Park among locals. I used my day off work to refresh myself with cherry blossom viewing and a hot spring. I heard that the weeping cherry trees in Ukiha were in full bloom, so I went there. I had some Ukiha apple curry on the way there, and the apple pie was delicious! Unfortunately, it was cloudy that day, but the weeping cherry trees were in full bloom. After that, I drove to the ruins of Akizuki Castle and enjoyed the cherry blossom trees in the castle town. Since I had come all the way to Ukiha on the way back, I went to Kotohira Onsen in Hita. The alkaline hot spring made my skin smooth. 2,000 yen for a family bath is cheap, so I was glad. #cherryblossomviewing

I went to Akizuki to see the Hina dolls, which are on display on weekends until March 5th. The many beautiful Hina dolls are lined up on the stairs leading to the shrine at the Akizuki Castle ruins. Akizuki is Kyushu's Little Kyoto. The seasons of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves are also beautiful. Although the display is on weekends, they will also be on display on March 3rd, the Girl's Festival.

#tripmemory2022 I stopped by on the way back from Haratsuru Onsen and bought a roll cake and cream puffs. Founded in 1885, this is a long-established pigeon bean shop that was invented to prevent children from feeling hungry. But they have a variety of sweets and they are very delicious. There are mascot signs inside the shop and in the toilets, which are very cute. 1910-3 Miyano, Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture It is located 3 minutes from Asakura IC on the Oita Expressway.

For this visit, my family and I went to rent a car to get to this location which is 40mins away from Fukuoka city. The scenery in the beer factory surrounding are really beautiful. We learn how they have Kirin Ichiban spirit to make the best tasting beer. Tasting malt, malt juice and in the end non drivers get to drink 3 glasses of Beer. Cafe Notori is a cozy cafe located down a rice paddy path. First of all, the exterior and garden are simply stunning! The garden features a large swing and a stream, and the building itself is a simple structure perched amidst the forest! Open the large door and you'll find the cafe! Inside, there's counter seating, one four-seater table, and one six-seater table. There's even a kids' space! At the cafe, I tried the seasonal parfait, which was packed with so many ingredients I never got tired of eating! The sweets were so delicious I was blown away! I especially tried the canelés, which were the best I've ever had! They also offer a bread lunch, and although I didn't try them this time, they apparently were delicious! With a wide variety of pizzas to choose from, it might be hard to decide, but they're so delicious that you can easily finish one whole pizza by yourself! The owner is quite a unique character—he surprised us with his chonmage hairstyle but turned out to be a very kind person! Since the restaurant is run single-handedly, cleaning up is self-service. 🌿 Visiting "Kominka Cafe Hitotsu no Ki" in Asakura City 🥢 A farmer-run cafe 👨🌾 In addition to rice, they serve dishes made with fresh, seasonal vegetables 😋 ＊ Limited-time lunch: ¥1,100 Main dish, three side dishes, soup, and white rice The menu changes daily, so it's exciting! ︎💕︎︎ Today's main dish was meat-wrapped vegetables! It contained okra and carrots. 😋 The small side dishes were also delicious, and made the rice go down easy. 🍚 The restaurant offers table seating, counter seating where you can dine while looking out at the garden, and tatami rooms. They also have toys for little ones, making it a great place for families with children. 🙆♀️ We sat at the counter. 🌳 We relaxed while looking out at the beautiful, well-maintained garden. 😊 Even a cat came to play. 🐈🐾 Each chopstick holder had a different message written on it, which was heartwarming. ✨ It was a very satisfying lunch.
