#australiatrip Brisbane, also known as Brissie, is the capital of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia 2. The metropolitan area is home to over 2.1 million people, making it the second most populous city after Sydney and Melbourne. Situated on the banks of the Brisbane River, near Morton Bay, and covering around 1200 square kilometers, Brisbane enjoys a subtropical climate with an average of 7.5 hours of sunshine per year , earning it the title of the "City of Sunshine." Brissie is a modern city with a fresh vibe. It boasts nearly 170 parks of all sizes, with popular ones like Albert Park, Bowen Park, Slaughter Falls Park, Roman Street Park, and Queen's Park e. Due to its proximity to the Gold Coast in the south, the Sunshine Coast in the north, and its connections to Ipswich and Toowoomba in the west, the economic and business development of the surrounding satellite cities are closely linked with Brisbane. This close relationship has led the state government to collectively refer to the area around Brisbane as "South East Queensland."

Spacious, contemporary, and cozy room with thoughtful, friendly staff. All the essentials are provided, including a roomy bathroom area and a Nespresso coffee station. Ideal location for attending a wedding at the Brassey Gardens and the reception at the Realm Hotel.

Quiet day and night, perfect for relaxation. #australia🇦🇺 #canberra 🦘 🌥️🌧️🌖

I was accommodated well even with an early check-in, which I really appreciated. It would be helpful if there were microwaves in the rooms, but overall, the spa is an incredible facility. The massage I received was fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the continental breakfast. I’m looking forward to being a regular visitor. Thank you, and I’ll definitely visit again!

Things I liked: The pillows were comfortable, the room was warm with temperature control, and the happy hour by the roaring fire in reception was a nice touch. I appreciated the availability of connecting family rooms that could be configured as twin singles or a queen—our setup was changed in just 15 minutes. The location was quiet at night, parking was easy, and it was close to all major attractions. Plus, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Things I didn't like: The bed was too firm, like sleeping on a box—I had to place a pillow under my hips to get comfortable. Also, the water pressure was weak, though the water was nice and hot. Overall, it met our needs for a short winter escape. With limited family room options in the area, we might return for another cozy getaway.

We always value the helpful and friendly staff, along with the perfect location for exploring Canberra. Brassey Hotel is within walking distance of shops, galleries, and attractions, and also offers easy access to public transport.

I had a pleasant and relaxing getaway in a spacious suite. From the very beginning, the stay stood out thanks to the warm welcome at reception by Kuldeep. She made sure our stay was comfortable and went the extra mile to make it feel special. Kuldeep's service was outstanding—she noticed we were facing a challenging time and surprised us with extra treats and complimentary parking, attending to our specific needs. We would happily return to the Hotel Realm in the future.

A delightful experience from start to finish! From checking in with Ali to requesting additional support for work requirements, everything was handled smoothly. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at Hotel Realm! Our room was clean and had a fantastic layout. The atmosphere felt very calming, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a washing machine included. Room service was excellent and arrived promptly. The staff were exceptionally friendly throughout our visit. Although we encountered a problem with one of the TVs in our room, the maintenance team responded quickly and replaced it on the same day.

Ritual Cafe in Canberra is a strong go-to spot for football fans, especially during major tournaments like the FIFA World Cup. It has that relaxed but lively café atmosphere where supporters naturally gather, so match days feel social without turning into a noisy sports-bar scene. What makes it stand out is how well it adapts to big fixtures. During World Cup periods, they often adjust hours to match late-night or early-morning kickoffs, which is a big plus for fans trying to follow international games. You can actually settle in for full matches without worrying about the café closing mid-game. They also tend to run match-day offers that make it more inviting to stay longer #footballmatchcityguide #afternoonteatime

A very appealing hotel with excellent facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa, sauna, steam room, and pool, using them twice during our one-night visit. It was fairly crowded on both occasions, though I did catch a quiet moment to snap a few photos. Overall, it was a fantastic stay.

My husband and I spent two nights at Brassey, mainly to visit the Cezanne to Giacometti exhibition at NGA. The last time I was at Brassey was back in 1984, visiting my uncle who stayed here as an ASIO member. Seeing it transformed into a charming luxury boutique hotel was delightful. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was fantastic—the light, peace, spaciousness, and bed comfort were outstanding and excellent value. Walking along the beautiful foreshore on a crisp winter morning to the exhibition was truly special. We also strolled to the Kingston foreshore for dinner, which was absolutely worth it. The staff were incredibly helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our Brassey experience and will definitely make it our top choice for accommodations in Canberra.

Manager Sana was incredible, thanks. SSNs is very inviting and highly professional. Young Nick from the breakfast restaurant was exceptional. He's a true pleasure and class act. He remained calm under pressure, delivered warm service, and deserves recognition for excellent service.
