It's a hidden gem boutique hotel with such breathtaking views, yet the value for money is incredible. Room rates are only between HK200 to 400+, and it includes a sumptuous buffet breakfast! 🏝️🏝️ The hotel consists of two completely different types of rooms. One type is a stylishly designed two-story cottage on the beach, while the other is a standalone stilt house over the sea, with a hammock facing the ocean outside the room, allowing guests to feel like they are lying on the sea, enjoying the sea breeze. Truly thoughtful! I tried to book a room a month and a half ago, but it was fully booked! But there’s more to the Caribbean than just beaches. There are a number of things that you can do. You can go beachcombing, have a picnic and sail in San Juan, Puerto Rico, or go on powerboat adventures in Nassau, Bahamas. You will never run out of options as to what to do next. You have the entire place, the sun and the sea. The top destinations in the Caribbean are Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Aruba, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Cayman Islands, and the US Virgin Islands.

We spent two weeks here starting June 23rd and loved every single aspect of this hotel. From now on, I’ll only book Riu hotels! The staff were incredible, with special mention to Alejandro, our cleaner, who was outstanding. The facilities are top-notch, and the food is absolutely fantastic. We enjoyed the experience so much that we’ve decided to book Riu Palace in Punta Cana for our vacation next year!

We recently stayed at RIU BAMBU (WE LOVE RIU) and had a wonderful experience in several areas. The real highlights of our trip were the housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff, and front desk—Smith, you are the best. Our room was kept spotless every single day, and the waitstaff in the restaurants were incredibly attentive, friendly, and hardworking. However, there are a couple of areas that need improvement. The animation/entertainment team felt a bit lackluster and could use more energy to engage guests (bocha game on the beach). Additionally, the towel desk was quite unorganized, making it frustrating to get fresh towels when needed. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with a great food and cleaning team, but the management really needs to address the entertainment (11 years ago was excellent) and towel services to make this a 5-star experience.

My family and I stayed at the Riu Bambu from July 2 to July 5, and we had a very enjoyable time overall. The front desk service was excellent; the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. We were allocated a first-floor room, which initially worried me since I generally prefer rooms on the second or third floor to avoid potential bug issues. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the room was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and completely free of bugs. The food at the restaurants was very good, offering a wide variety of options and plenty of fresh fruit daily—there was something for everyone to enjoy. The resort features six pools, but our family spent most of our time at the Blue Pool near our room. This pool was large, relaxing, and much less crowded than the main pool near the lobby. Unfortunately, we did encounter an issue with the Blue Pool's cleanliness. It did not seem to be cleaned and maintained as often as the main pool. Leaves and dead bugs were frequently floating in the water, and on our last day, we noticed cigarette butts in one corner and a large clump of hair at the bottom of the pool. This was disappointing, especially given how well-kept the rest of the resort appeared. I believe the resort should introduce designated pool closure times each evening to prevent such issues. On the night before our departure, guests were still using the pool at 10:00 PM, some not treating the facilities respectfully. At other resorts, I’ve noticed staff cleaning pools early in the morning to clear debris accumulated overnight. Despite this concern, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend Riu Bambu to others. The staff, accommodations, food, and overall atmosphere were all excellent. Improving the maintenance of the Blue Pool would greatly enhance the guest experience.

It’s a stunning location with palm trees, fantastic pools, and overall a very enjoyable trip. Highlights included the spa, the pool, sweet potato fries, coffee, the comfortable bed, and pillows. Good aspects were the cleaning service, the room, snacks at Yumai, ice cream, and some of the shows. Neutral points were the breakfast, lunch, and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Unfortunately, dinner wasn’t great; the buffet offered little variety, and getting drinks took ages. Some staff were nice, but many just walked past, especially at the pool bar. The pool area was often noisy with excessive shouting. The worst part was dealing with mosquitoes—though that’s nature—and needing to wake up at dawn to secure a good spot by the pool. It also felt like service was less attentive for non-US guests. A special thank-you to Mirabel at Yumai; she was friendly, helpful, and her Mirabel specials were delightful.

The resort was a lot of fun, and the food was delicious. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, making our stay very enjoyable. The grounds were stunning, though they were quite expansive. Our only gripe was the shortage of cream and artificial sweeteners provided daily in the rooms—just two regular and decaf coffee packs, two creamer packets, and two stevia packets. That minor issue aside, the staff's exceptional service has us looking forward to visiting again.

I want to give a special mention to Pedro, the hotel manager, for his kindness, attentiveness, and for the positive changes noticeable throughout the hotel. The dinner at Quimera was one of the best experiences of our trip. From the appetizers to dessert, every dish was simply perfect. And the spa… a dream come true! We returned home on May 17th, and although a busy work schedule pushed this review back by a couple of months, I had to carve out time to applaud this outstanding resort. Our stay at The Level at Meliá Punta Cana Beach (from May 2nd to May 17th) was our first, and it surpassed every expectation. While the property itself is a stunning, spotless, and beautifully kept oasis, it was The Level’s adults-only experience that turned this vacation into a dream come true. Our oceanfront room, just steps away from the water, was nothing short of incredible. Walking directly from our room to the ocean was a privilege we won’t forget. Though the resort as a whole is breathtaking and clearly cared for with great pride, The Level provides an elevated sense of exclusivity and tranquility, delivering an experience unlike any other. What sets this resort apart, though, is its staff. A huge, heartfelt thank you goes to Luz Mateo, the Assistant Director at The Level. Luz and her remarkable team are the soul of this operation. She made sure every detail of our stay was impeccable, creating a truly unforgettable experience. Of course, such a seamless experience comes from a collective effort, and we’d like to highlight a few exceptional aspects. Quimera Restaurant: The staff’s professionalism, warm hospitality, and genuine kindness made every meal feel like a return home. Their care for guests is unmatched. The Adults-Only Beach Area: The beach service was phenomenal—attentive, friendly, and always perceptive of our needs. In a world filled with travel destinations, the team at The Level ensures this resort is the only place we’d want to return to. They don’t just host guests; they welcome you as part of their family. To Luz and the entire Level team: thank you for making our stay unforgettable. You’ve given us memories to cherish for a lifetime, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. In my opinion, after traveling to Punta Cana nine times, this is the best of all—it has no comparison. The attention here is unmatched in every way, starting with Mrs. Yubelkis, who takes care of the room, Carlos the chef at the buffet, the butler Feliz, and the spectacular entertainment team. Even the gardeners, cleaning staff, and the birds flying around the hotel add to the charm. There’s absolutely no negative comment to make. The buffet flavors are excellent; my wife usually experiences swollen feet due to food, but here the dishes have a perfect touch. The rooms are extremely clean, and overall, I give it a 1000/10 rating for everything.

This was our sixth visit to the Royalton Bavaro, and we had an incredible three weeks here in February and March. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The senior management team was absolutely outstanding. Thank you all so much! We’re already looking forward to returning in October for another wonderful stay. :)

The resort was beautiful, and everything was executed perfectly. Our butler, Anthony, was outstanding. He stayed in close touch with us, always checking in to see how he could assist. He truly enhanced our experience. Thank you, Anthony!

We dined at Cafe Bistro in the Hard Rock Hotel, and Melaney was our server. She was absolutely amazing—super quick, kind, and always attended to us with a big smile. We truly appreciate you, Melaney! - From the couple with the espresso martinis! ❤️

We were checked in quickly and transported to our room on a small train (which was very nice). Every evening, there was a disco hosted by the animation princess team. The dancers who truly impressed our family were Tanayri and Yesenia, who always showed enthusiasm in dancing and encouraged everyone to join. On top of that, the food was great, and the staff were delightful, consistently providing fantastic service. Overall, my family and I would absolutely return!

The staff handling the party animation are incredible, extremely welcoming, and there are loads of fun activities. They are so warm, just like Brazilians. Special thanks to Yesenia, Luiz, Ruan, Rick, and Diego!

It's a very beautiful hotel where we encountered people who attended to us wonderfully. The animators always keep a very pleasant atmosphere, and the activities are entertaining. Especially Luis and Cristobal.
