It's a hidden gem boutique hotel with such breathtaking views, yet the value for money is incredible. Room rates are only between HK200 to 400+, and it includes a sumptuous buffet breakfast! 🏝️🏝️ The hotel consists of two completely different types of rooms. One type is a stylishly designed two-story cottage on the beach, while the other is a standalone stilt house over the sea, with a hammock facing the ocean outside the room, allowing guests to feel like they are lying on the sea, enjoying the sea breeze. Truly thoughtful! I tried to book a room a month and a half ago, but it was fully booked! I could only take photos from the outside! 🥳🥳 The hotel also has a bar built over the sea, with live singers performing at night. You can enjoy dinner at the bar, and the prices are quite reasonable. The hotel amenities were outstanding, and the service was exceptional—especially thanks to the high-quality assistance from the butler, Javier, who was always kind and attentive! A few recommendations: buying souvenirs outside the hotel can help support the local economy, but in my experience, it would have been more economical to purchase them at the hotel, as prices outside are somewhat steep. Another tip is that upon arriving in the Dominican Republic, you don't need to exchange to Dominican currency, as most commerce is conducted in USD.

The service at the restaurant and from the staff was excellent, and I might visit again. However, I had a very unpleasant experience with my room being full of mosquitoes. It was fumigated twice, yet the problem persisted, possibly due to ineffective fumigation. Additionally, in one of my friends' rooms, the air conditioning didn't work. Other than that, the overall service was very good.

The service was very pleasant, everyone was kind and helpful. The waiter Darlin was extremely kind, attentive, and offered great service. At the buffet Trapiche, all the staff were very kind, the coffee was delicious, the food was very tasty, and the waiter Richard was also very friendly. The experience starts off great right upon arrival: warm reception, luggage assistance, and a small train to the room. Initially, we worried the resort might feel too large, but our location was perfect—we could walk everywhere! And if walking wasn’t an option, the little train was always there. The resort is stunning, clean, and well-maintained. From restaurants, buffets, pool, and beach to gardens and restrooms—everything was pleasant. A special mention must go to the abundance of animals like peacocks, ducks, iguanas, parrots, and cats. 🦚🦎 Our room was spacious and ideal for three adults, featuring a large bed, a sofa bed, a sizeable bathroom with both a shower and bathtub, and a terrace. Cleaning was done daily, and the minibar was restocked regularly. A few minor downsides: low water pressure in the shower, bath mats not always available, a tricky-to-adjust air conditioner, and fairly high humidity levels. When it comes to food, the variety is impressive, and there’s almost always something to eat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner flow seamlessly, and drinks are available nonstop. From cocktails, beer, and spirits to soft drinks and coffee—everything is included. Restaurant reservations were easy to make through the app. However, the food quality was somewhat inconsistent. That said, we loved the Indian restaurant and especially enjoyed the beachfront breakfast buffet! The beach was the highlight for us—spacious and beautiful with plenty of loungers, bars, food trucks, a buffet, showers, restrooms, and a nearby pool. Daily seaweed cleaning was a major positive! Towels could also be swapped out every day. Most of the staff were wonderfully kind and attentive. Special shoutout to the beachfront breakfast team and Gina from the spa. ❤️ The entertainment team was fantastic, present every day at the beach, pool, and evening events. They were always cheerful, funny, and full of energy. A huge thank you to Luis, Juan, Antonio, and Camacho—you were amazing! ❤️ We especially loved the lively evenings on the lobby terrace with dancing, singing, and lots of laughter. On the downside, the theater parties felt unnecessary; being indoors for dancing in Punta Cana seemed like a missed opportunity. The hotel caters to both those seeking peace and quiet and those looking to party—there’s something for everyone. Additionally, the hotel can arrange return trips for outings, and Uber works just as well. A big plus on our last day: even after checking out, we could still enjoy the beach, pool, and restaurants, with the option to shower at the spa before leaving. The value for money was excellent considering everything included (we stayed during August/September). In summary, though there were minor flaws, our stay at Gran Bávaro Princess was incredible. We leave with cherished memories, wonderful new friends, and a strong desire to return! ❤️🌴 Highly recommend!

It was a bad experience; I didn’t like it. The rooms were very dirty, but the animation team was very friendly and lovely. They made our stay much better. They included us in their daily activities, especially Antonio and Yesenia.

An excellent experience at the hotel! My wife and I want to highlight the exceptional service of the waitress Mary Ángela, who was very fun and loving. Along with her colleagues Yoendry and Roberto, they made our time at the restaurant La Hispaniola truly remarkable. ❤️❤️

The attention was excellent! Such kind people and a beautiful hotel—we will definitely return! We loved this hotel and plan to come back next year as part of the Kromasol group. Honestly, I am very satisfied with the facilities and, above all, the service provided by the staff.

I just returned and already miss it. I had an incredible time with my family. The room was spotless, the food was delicious, and the overall service was outstanding. Francisco, our concierge, was fantastic. Right from the start, he took great care of us. He kept us informed about activities and handled our dinner reservations perfectly. He truly felt like part of the family. Thank you, Francisco, for everything!

Good food, great drinks, and the beach is small. The best part is that it's adult-only, making it more peaceful. You can reach the Palace by a small train, where there’s a better nightlife scene, including Strikes—a 24-hour bar serving snack-like meals, a disco that closes at 3 am, and a casino. The downside is the seaweed, which makes it hard to enjoy the beach.

Barceló always stands out for the variety and quality of offerings at their hotels. This particular one shines thanks to the friendliness and warmth of its staff. Unfortunately, there was sargassum during our stay. In my humble opinion, Barceló should consider creating a similar resort on the Caribbean Sea.

It was undoubtedly one of my best vacation experiences. The resort is huge and very comfortable, and the warmth of the staff is evident from the very first greeting. GIO was the best concierge we've ever had; he was incredibly attentive to us. JUDEIKA, CATERIN (LA PRIMA), and GEIMI (CABALLO) were also extremely kind to us. We left with very special memories of the hotel and its wonderful staff. The only two negatives I found were the bad smell in the elevators of the right tower and the lack of maintenance in the pools—the water looked murky, and the walls and railings appeared greenish/yellow. Other than that, the service and the staff were not just a 10 but a 100!

My experience with my family and friends has been amazing thanks to Jean Paul and Yohana. They made our trip so much fun, always kept us engaged, and consistently brought great energy for everyone. 5 stars 👍🏾
