Best places to visit in Costa Brava 🌞🌊 📍Begur Begur is home to many of the best beaches in Costa Brava, such as Platja d’Aiguablava, Platja Fonda, Cala Malaret, Cala Sa Tuna, Platja de l’Illa Roja, and Platja de Sa Riera. 📍Calella de Palafrugell This is a charming old fishing village with some beautiful beaches in the village and nearby, such as El Golfet. 📍Cadaqués Cadaqués is considered one of the prettiest towns in Spain with its beautiful coastline and whitewashed houses. 📍Tossa de Mar Tossa de Mar is known for its pretty old town overlooking the sea. It combines history with easy access to beautiful beaches. 📍Girona Although Girona is not located on the coast, but more inland, I would still recommend visiting on your Costa Brava trip because it’s well-connected and has a beautiful medieval center. 📍L’Escala L’Escala is another charming fishing town on the Costa Brava. It’s known for its seafood, historic ruins, and beautiful beaches like Cala Montgó.

All located in Costa Brava 🇪🇸 📍Platja Fonda This is a big and a bit rocky beach but the water is beautiful. I stayed in Begur and got here by walking on the Camí de Ronda hiking trail that follows the Costa Brava coastline 📍Platja d'Aiguablava This beach has some of the most beautiful turquoise water I’ve seen! It was one of the busier beaches I visited in this part of Costa Brava but there was still plenty of room on the beach and in water. I stayed in Begur and got here by walking on Camí de Ronda after visiting Platja Fonda 📍El Golfet This beach is located in Calella de Palafrugell and even the walk (along Camí de Ronda) from the town to the beach has such beautiful views. I stayed in Palafrugell and walked to Calella de Palafrugell and then along Camí de Ronda to reach the beach

Costa Brava Continuing from the previous post's 3-part "Beautiful Waves" trip, tomorrow we're heading to Barcelona! For the hidden gem of a jelly-like beach, please see picture 18. I recommend having lunch at Platja d'Aiguablava, where you can rent a boat or go kayaking. A two-person boat costs 30 euros per hour. You can also start hiking from Fonda. Parking is easier there. Mediterranean Coast Tour of Spain ~ Girona (Region) The castle itself is a small ruin of what remains, but it is still a great place to visit and learn about its history. There is a small path leading up to it, though some parts are quite steep. In my opinion, the last 30 feet or so are too steep for those who are frail or use wheelchairs. However, once you reach the top, the view is absolutely spectacular. The scenery of the town of Begur and its surrounding areas is stunning. So, relax and enjoy the view. It’s not crowded, or at least it wasn’t crowded when we visited, as it was a weekday.

Mediterranean Coast Tour in Spain ~ Girona (Region) On the southern coast of the Baix Empordà, we find the town of Begur. In this area of the Costa Brava (Girona coast), the mountains plunge into the Mediterranean Sea, creating small bays and sandy beaches between the rocky cliffs. Pine forests stretch all the way to the coast, surrounding the town of Begur, which is just a few kilometers from the sea. This historic quarter is a very traditional and colorful place, dominated by the ruins of a simple castle built on the rocks, which dates back to the 15th century. You can still admire the old walls and five defense towers built between the 16th and 17th centuries. The use of stone is a characteristic of the popular architecture in the area. The old fishing area by the beach has become an important residential and tourist area.
