Let’s start off breakfast at the Old Market Hall for local food, the market sold local produces as well as Eastern Europe products,interesting to explore for an hour. There are seats at second level for you to settle your purchased breakfast bought at the market, overlooking at the bustling crowd in the market. Next proceed to Primacial Palace which exhibited gallery of Hungarian rulers’s pictures, get the audio at your languages to have more understanding about each pictures and furniture with their diverse history. If you like street art, you may find artworks at Rajská road while strolling. After that head towards The Blue Church - Church of St. Elizabeth, covered with unique blue color tiles which made it special. Church is allowed to enter within the restricted opening hours for access to the interior of the church with free entrance. Let’s take scroll to old town, you may pass by a bronze handyman peeking out from a canal in the middle of street which called the rubberneck(Čumil) for photo taking session. The myth saying stroke the button on Chumil’s cap for luck, give it a try. Along the street, there is Ganymede's Fountain which it depicts figures from ancient mythology. The castle has a great overview of the Bratislava city. Upon walking downwards back to the town, head across the bridge towards Medieval City Walls. Historical information can be found at the city walls while you stroll about the area. You may visit St. Martin's Cathedral before 6pm,which is nearby the city wall area, it is the largest and oldest church in Bratislava. Travelling from Vienna to Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia, by train only takes an hour. Bought the one day Bratislava-Ticket via OEBB kiosk from Vienna train station.It would be cheaper to get there by bus, but we thought of its winter time and for the comfort of the journey with children travelling, we have chosen to get on the train instead. This day tickets also cover all the transportation in Bratislava. Once you get off the Bratislava train station, you can take bus 93 to the city centre, however we have chosen to walk. It's another gloomy day here, I just picked on the touristy spots from google maps (see photo I have attached too) and started the walking journey to the city. We passed by the 1. Mirbach Palace and just in time to see the guard changing ceremony. the walking continues 2. Church of the Annunciation 3. Primate's Palace 4. Old town hall we have a quick brunch at the Five Points Bistro 5. Michael’s Gate 6. Kápitulska Street 7. Pálffy Palace 8. St. Martin’s Cathedral 9. Medieval City Walls 10. House at the Good Shepherd 11. Bratislava Castle - from here you can have a view of the UFO bridge 12. Šafárikovo Square 13. Blue Church 14. Everything on this church is blue. My favourite part is the mosaic inlay on the facades. It’s not open all the time, so if you want to take a look inside you’ll have to time it right!

It's actually a restaurant with different branches located in Bratislava. The restaurant is a great place to try different tasty must try Slovak foods. They also have a selection of local beers and wines. I also liked the fact that there were outdoor tables available, although it was quite toasty in summer but I still appreciated that. The indoors area was decorated in a traditional pub setting which added to the flavor. The food was tasty and wasn't too expensive. Be warned however that you will be filled quite quickly! #foodie

As expected from a clean 4-star hotel, it provides sufficient amenities. The twin room was spacious and clean, so it was good to stay with a friend. The breakfast quality was good and the service was good, so it was a really good place to stay for a trip to Europe :)

Walking along Stary Most, which is now mostly a pedestrian and bicycle bridge, you'll be able to enjoy beautiful views of the city as well as the Danube. The middle part of the bridge also has a tram running through it, but otherwise it's a calm and very nice way to cross the river. It's also a historical bridge that's been reconstructed, which makes it even more enjoyable. There are benches along the way so you can rest up if needed. You'll reach a nice green park at the end of both sides! Spend some time walking across this historic bridge!

For a smaller city like Bratislava, the Eurovea shopping center is a modern shopping mall with quite a lot of choice in stores. It's quite large with several floors; the top floor being mostly a food court and the basement with a supermarket. Wifi is available in the mall and the mall has a nice and open feel to it with the bright roof windows. The area immediately outside it is along the banks of the river and there are many restaurants lining it with a relaxed and comfortable vibe. Head to the mall if you need to do some shopping while in Bratislava. A good experience overall #shopping

Bratislava is a very beautiful city where you can enjoy a good day of walking and breaks at its nice cafes. We started at the Obelisk, where you can see an impressive view of the city. Followed by a walk around the city centre and ending in its Castle. I recommend to take your warm clothes if you come around November time. It is not very cold but the humidity from the river can make you feel cold. If so, take a coffee in any of their cafes. Most of them provide warm blankets and very delicious hot chocolate that will help you to keep warm to carry your walk. I personally recommend to stay a day in this city. it is beautiful and if you are a good walker, you can be done in the day. Ah! the Blue Church is definitely a MUST!

The type of pasta is very special, it looks like rice grains, but it is actually pasta. The salmon is fried very crispy, but the meat is tender and tender. A Hungarian church that features a façade which was painted with blue colour. A line of blue tiles and wave-strip encircles the church. Something for sure that will attract your attention, you can’t miss it! St. Martin’s Cathedral St. Martin’s Cathedral is another great example of architecture but also history. As we are reminded that 11 Hungarian kings and queens have started their monarchical journeys here. #bratislava #slovakia

The ibis is a 5 min (albeit with stairs and cobblestone streets) walk away from Most SNP bus station and another 5 mins from the Old town. It's a great location to be near everything. It's a further 5 mins from the castle with a lovely view over the city. The hotel itself is a bit dated but everything worked fine and it was pretty clean. The staff were super welcoming, friendly and eager to help; that made all the difference. Ask for a room not facing the highway as they windows were a bit thin and you could hear the cars in the morning. Devin Castle, is a castle in Devín, which is a borough of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. It is one of the oldest castles in Slovakia. The site has been settled since the Neolithic Age and fortified since the Bronze and Iron Age and later by Celts and Romans. The cliff is an ideal place for a fort due to its position at the confluence of the Danube and Morava rivers.
