Chao Yin Temple is not difficult to get to. It is located in an alley. It is a local temple, quiet. The staff and monks are quite welcoming. The atmosphere inside, at first, we thought it would be an old temple. But inside, it has been renovated very well and is really beautiful. There is not a lot of incense smoke that makes it difficult to breathe. There is some smoke here and there, but not much. While we sit and pray, there will be a monk who rings a bell or plays a Tibetan altar for us to bless us. The kneeling seat is clean and covered with film. The Main Hall of Zhaoren Temple is the principal structure of the temple, characterized by a nine-ridge single-eave hip-and-gable roof style. Traditionally, the Main Hall of Zhaoren Temple is said to be a large hall with three bays and a cantilevered corner, supported by nine beams and eighteen pillars. Its distinctive feature is that no columns are visible inside the hall; it is entirely supported by large beams around the perimeter, a construction method commonly referred to as the 'Bagua' (Eight Trigrams) suspended ceiling technique. The base of the Main Hall of Zhaoren Temple is 1 meter high, with a length and width of 12.6 meters each. The platform in front of the hall is spacious, covering an area of 108.16 square meters. The hall is three bays wide and deep, with a span of 10.5 meters. The beam frame is constructed in a thorough clear style, with six rafters used for the common eaves, and the corners are formed by smearing corner beams to create the hip-and-gable roof and wing corner frames. Despite arbitrary repairs by craftsmen over the generations, the building retains the characteristics and style of wooden structures from the Tang and Song dynasties.

Zhaoren Temple is located on the East Street of Changwu County, Shaanxi Province. It was established by Emperor Taizong of Tang, Li Shimin, during the Zhenguan period of the Tang Dynasty (627-649 AD) to commemorate the soldiers who died in battle with the warlords Xue Ju and Xue Renbiao. The main hall of Zhaoren Temple is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Zhaoren Temple faces north and south, and is built by connected small quadrangles, covering an area of 4869 square meters. There are currently a mountain gate, a stele pavilion, a main hall, and three rooms each in the east and west side halls. The gate of the temple is inscribed with the three characters 'Zhaoren Temple'. Inside the temple, there is a Tang Dynasty stele named 'Yuzhou Zhaoren Temple Stele', with the text written by Zhu Shishe, believed to be written by Yu Shinan in calligraphy, which is beautiful and vigorous. The entire stele has more than 3,000 characters and is basically intact. The main existing building in Zhaoren Temple is a three-room Daxiong Treasure Hall with nine beams and eighteen carriers. There are no columns inside, and it is all built up by the large beams around it, which is the commonly known Bagua hanging top method. The structure is quite special and rare in ancient Chinese architecture.
