The Cologne Cathedral will amaze you more than once.
🌥️ It is said that the gray-black tone of cloudy days is the main color of Cologne, making the picture look solemn and solemn. From a distance, it looks like two towering spires, making people feel a little awe and admiration, bringing a strong sense of sight and visual impact.
💞 As you get closer and enlarge the details, you will admire the complex and delicate structural design of Gothic architecture even more. What is amazing in the church is the beautiful medieval stained glass windows depicting scenes from the Bible. If you sit quietly in the church, you can look up and enjoy it for an afternoon.
🕐 Opening hours: 6:00–19:30

Cologne Cathedral, officially known as Cologne Cathedral - St. Maria KapFEDiale, is a Gothic-style Catholic church located in Cologne, Germany. Construction of the cathedral began in 1248 and took several hundred years to complete, making it one of the most important religious buildings in Germany.
The architectural style of Cologne Cathedral is characterized by its distinctive Gothic features, including pointed arches, flying buttresses, and richly colored stained glass windows. The Blues of Cologne Cathedral
📍I have posted several travel photos about Cologne Cathedral,
🌟Its unique twin spires are the landmark of Cologne
🌟Slowly walking red-robed priests in the cathedral
🌟Various activities held in front of the cathedral: concerts, Christmas markets, carnival street shots, making the ancient cathedral full of vitality
🌟The cathedral at sunset is even more beautiful
Yesterday, I had a meeting near the cathedral. During the break, I quickly ran inside to take a few photos of the cathedral's architecture. At around four in the afternoon, sunlight streamed through the windows, making blue the dominant color.
❤Indeed, light is the best palette.

Two weeks in Hobbit
I originally wanted to travel deeply in Germany, but many friends said that Germany is not that fun 😆
Stayed in Cologne for three days and went to Bonn and Düsseldorf (really not that fun)
But I still have to take a photo with Cologne Cathedral📷
Picture 1 is the same camera position as Jay Chou
Just search for the street "burgmauer" to find it.
Figure 2 Search Aussichtspunkt
Hohenzollernbriicke, standing here you can take pictures at the same time
"Lock Bridge" and "Cathedral"
After taking pictures of the lock bridge and the cathedral, you can stroll along the banks of the Rhine.
The scenery on both sides of the river is also very photogenic.
The original itinerary was to go to Neuschwanstein Castle on the third day, but we later gave up and headed to the Netherlands.
The Netherlands is so beautiful 🥰 It's like a large Venice ❤️
It’s great to take photos no matter where you are!

Germany's Cologne Cathedral, a must-visit World Heritage site for check-ins.
Cologne Cathedral
Cologne Cathedral in Germany was first built in 1248 and completed in 1880, taking a total of 632 years, making it the longest construction time in world architectural history. Compared to Chinese dynasties, it was built during the Song Dynasty and completed during the late Qing Dynasty.
Cologne Cathedral's generations of architects have upheld the same philosophy, remaining faithful to the original design and embodying the great spirit of Christianity's pursuit of eternity and lastingness. The cathedral combines grandeur and delicacy, and is hailed as the perfect example of Gothic cathedrals.
The greatness of Cologne Cathedral in religious history also lies in the fact that it houses the bones of the "Three Wise Men from the East". The Three Wise Men from the East were said to be the first group of people who traveled from Persia to Bethlehem to worship the newborn Jesus. In the Middle Ages, this tomb was also a holy site that attracted many people to come and pay their respects.
🚄Transportation
📍Taking the train in Germany is very convenient. Take the train to Köln Hbf main station and you will see the cathedral as soon as you exit. You can even take a panoramic photo of the cathedral, and admission is free (except for climbing to the top).
📍Whether it's the cathedral, Hohenzollern Bridge, or several museums in the city center, they are all very close to the train station and can be visited on foot in Cologne.

Go to Germany and visit the top 5 places worth visiting.
1.) Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Picture 123
With centuries of history, Cologne is one of the best cities in Germany to explore. Located on the western edge of the country, this city blends everything together and is perfect for a weekend getaway. For me, the most impressive landmark must be Cologne Cathedral. Located on the banks of the Rhine River, it overlooks Cologne and is well worth a visit. Not only that, but there is also a lot of history within its walls. The Gothic architecture of the cathedral is the most ambitious building project since the Middle Ages.
2.) Rottenburg, Plot 456
One of the most vibrant and colorful places in Germany is Rothenburg. Well, at least in my opinion!
Rothenburg is located on the edge of the state of Bavaria in northern Germany, and is one of the best tourist destinations in Germany. For many years, it has been included in the route of the Romantic Road.
3.) Burger Figure 7
One of the treasures of the Elbe River is the city of Hamburg. Trust me, Hamburg has too many epic sights!
Although it may not have the "advantages" of Berlin, as one of the best destinations for city travel in Germany, it has a strong influence.
4.) Dresden Figure 8
Dresden is located in the Saxony region of Germany and is a city about the size of Edinburgh in the UK. This makes it big enough to be vibrant and full of things to do, but also small enough to explore over a long weekend.
Dresden was once known as the "Jewel Box", housing several luxurious buildings and artworks.
5.) Munich Figure 9
Munich is known as the capital of Bavaria and is undoubtedly a very beautiful city, as well as one of the most worthwhile places to visit in Germany. Not only that, Munich can be the gateway to the wider Bavarian region, and can also easily become the starting or ending point of your travels.

Enjoying The Rare Sun On Two Wheels 🚴♂🚴🏻
On a sunny Tuesday, Saint Valentine's Day and my birthday, my girlfriend and I decided to take our bicycles and head to the city center. Passing by the dogs happily enjoying the nature, couples with flowers, the sailors winking to us, the Cologne Cathedral and the city center, we saw the preparations for the Karneval and parked our wheels to walk through the busy streets. It was a romantic exploration and a successful shopping trip!

Cologne Cathedral
#newyearadventure
Cologne Cathedral is also known as Cathedral Church of Saint Peter. It is a Catholic Church in Cologne Germany. It is renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and declared as World Heritage Site.
We were there the last December. Winter time, therefore when we reach there, the sky is still dark. We look at the church from dark to bright sky, it’s really stunning!
Morning time before 10am, the crowd is not there yet. We are able to go into the church after the morning mass. The interior of the church is really nice!
Worth to go and high recommended!

Memorable: Exploring Cologne
During my recent trip to Cologne, I stayed at a cheap hostel located in the city center, which made it easy to walk to many of the major attractions. The hostel was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff and a great social atmosphere.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Cologne Cathedral, a stunningly beautiful and historic church that dominates the city skyline. The cathedral is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most visited landmarks in Germany. The interior of the cathedral is equally impressive, with soaring columns, intricate stained glass windows, and a wealth of historical artifacts on display.
Another highlight of my trip was walking across the Hohenzollern Bridge, which offers great views of the city and the river Rhine. The bridge is also a popular spot for love locks, with couples from all over the world attaching locks to the railings as a symbol of their love.
Another interesting place to visit in Cologne is the City Gate, a historic monument that dates back to the 18th century. The gate is a popular tourist attraction and offers great views of the city from its vantage point on the riverbank.
Overall, I had a great time in Cologne and would highly recommend it as a destination for travelers looking to experience the culture and history of Germany on a budget. The city has a wide range of affordable accommodation options, as well as a wealth of things to see and do, including the stunning Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge, and the City Gate.#mytripvlog

Cologne : Ancient & Romantic city
#2023travelwish
I was travel to Germany on October at a lot of cities, one of them is Cologne. A big city with so much beautiful and spectacular place. When I were there I was walking from the hostel that I stayed to Cologne Cathdreral, It's gigantic architectural place that make me stunning it so amazing. After that I was walking to the Cologne bridge. It's beautiful and romantic place at one. I saw some couple there make a wish and lock a masterkey to the bridge and then trow the key down to the river wishing forever love, some others people enjoy the view and taking some photos. I think Cologne is a romantic city. My next 2023 travel wish is to discover Germany capital's Berlin. Hope it will happen soon. #2023travelwish

the Gothic Masterpiece of Cologne Cathedral
Cologne Cathedral in Germany is built in gothic style and is now a unesco world heritage site.
Ita construction took place along seven centuries, between 1248 and 1880.
Is an important symbol of Christianity and also a masterpiece of this specific architectural style called Gothic.
The church was one of the most important pilgrims destination in Europe.

the historical old town of Cologne
one of the most important center during the Roman Empire still conserve the beautiful historical old town with Romanesque and Gothic architectures such as the Cathedral, the City Hall, and many others styles.
Founded by the Romans in 50 AD, Cologne has always been an important and prosperous city, here there’s also a very old university founded in 1388.

Museum of Applied Arts
#2023travelwish
I decided to visit the Museum of Applied Arts after reading all about Odon Lechner. This guy produced some stunning buildings in Budapest but seems to be less celebrated than the likes of Antoni Gaudi for instance.
To be honest the building itself is the main attraction with its stunning Zsolnay roof tiling, the interior is pure white (it wasnt this way originally) and is very eastern in style.
To wander into the main foyer is free as far as I know, but I also got free entry into exhibitions on Haydn and Time, Art Nouveau furniture and an exhibition on Ottoman Carpets.
In terms of the overall Museum content, think of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and you wont be far wide of the mark.

The other side of Cologne
#celebratewithtrip
Cologne is a city in Germany which is located in the Rhein-Main region and is about 2 hours ride by bullet trains (ICE inter city express) from Frankfurt.
Going there in the autumn season has also its special charm.
The city has a lot of attractions aside from its medieval structures (e.g. Kölner Dom or Cologne Cathedral), roman ruins, museums, food specialties, shopping street and the nice view of the river Rhein which I loved.
Cologne (Köln) has the biggest Carnival celebration in the whole Germany and also its marvelous Christmas Market.

Fascinating Cathedral
#celebratewithtrip
Köln Dom or Cologne Cathedral is one of the most beautiful cathedrals that I saw in my travels in Europe. The gothic style cathedral is amazingly beautiful and it is worth it to see and visit the place!
We went there from Frankfurt by ICE (Inter City Express, german bullet trains). It was about 2 hours train ride. We bought the the 2nd class ticket and it has no big difference with the 1st class ticket in terms of comfortability. The ride was quiet and relaxing!
You can get a cheaper price and a better time departure if you book your ticket ahead of time, about 3-5 months in advance.

The world's largest chocolate factory!
When you think of Cologne, you probably think of the Cologne Cathedral, but there is also the world's largest chocolate museum (run by Lindt) about a 15-minute walk from Cologne Central Station.
You can see the history of chocolate and the process of how chocolate is processed. It's a place that both adults and children can enjoy.
I recommend making your own custom chocolate bar!
You can even add Haribo chocolates, which is unique to Germany lol
If you're going to Cologne, be sure to stop by 🚶♀️

The size and scale of this Cathedral has to be seen to be believed, it’s huge.
As with many buildings like this there is restoration work going on so there is scaffolding on some elevations while the work is carried out but don’t let that put you off.
It’s dead easy to get to literally right beside the main train station and a 2 minute walk to the entrance. Entry is free and as usual you are encouraged to make a donation towards the restoration cost. Inside is vast and you don’t have to be religious to appreciate the architecture and skill that went into constructing it, well worth a visit .
The inside of the cathedral is just as beautiful as the outside. In all, this has been one of my favorite cathedral visits to date.

Koln Cologne Germany
A marvelous city in Germany with the tallest 515ft and oldest twin spired Cologne Catheral church that survived WWII. Not a sight to be missed cause it’s just right next to the train station. so convenient! lots of shops and street performances to be seen around the church as well.
Crossed the river to capture 360 deg view of Cologne city from KolnTriangle.
Why the city is called Cologne? because it’s the city first created the cologne for Napoleon since 1709! Napoleon’s been using it in his bath. imagine it!!! go and get a souvenir cologne there. Smell is quite good.
Last but not least a must drink in Koln for their kolsch beer to complete my Koln stay.

Fischmarkt
It's not the fish market anymore. It is one of the few remaining parts of Cologne dated back the Middle Ages not far from the beautiful Romanesque St. Martin Church. There are many interesting and colourful old town houses date back to between the 14th and 17th Centuries.
Really beautiful part of town. Very colourful indeed. A nice area to have a walk by the Rhine and many coffee shops and restaurants are there. It’s peaceful and quiet and wonderful architecture! I love it!!!
Great place to get good food, ice cream and beer.

Excellent Food @Restaurant Great Wall Cologne
This restaurant serves Sichuan, Hunan & other Chinese regional dishes. If you are looking for authentic sichuan food in Cologne this is the ideal place. Located within short walking distance from the Dom. The food was very delicious and the staff very courteous. We had the tofu with century eggs and stir-fry mushroom with pork. We choose less spicy dishes and it’s really tasty. Very large serving and the price is reasonable.

A good choice if you want to eat quality Chinese food close to the station. Always worth a visit!
