Chusa Kim Jeong-hui's Exile Site
Chusa Kim Jeong-hui was a late Joseon Dynasty official, painter, and calligrapher who created the unique calligraphy style known as "Chusa Style."
He was exiled to Jeju Island under a type of confinement that restricted him from leaving his residence. The area around his house was surrounded by thorny trifoliate orange trees. Despite being confined indoors daily, he used this time to delve deeply into academic studies 🖌️, develop the Chusa Style, and 📖 teach his disciples.
One of his most famous works, "Sehando" (Painting of Winter Scene), is designated as a National Treasure and is believed to have been created during his exile.
Although the original house was destroyed during the Jeju 4.3 Incident, it has been reconstructed based on historical evidence. However, entry into the house is 🚫 prohibited.
This site serves as a reminder of how one can turn adversity into an opportunity for personal and communal growth, embodying a positive attitude even in challenging circumstances.

Jeju Island pork round sweet and sour pork Jeju food tour🤎Gurak
Running to Daejeong-eup where Sanbangsan Mountain stands tall
Arrived at Gurak, a Chinese restaurant specializing in Jeju gourmet travel destinations
The sweet and sour pork made with Jeju pork loin was round and very unique and delicious.
There are plenty of sea creatures with good texture
The taste is not spicy
The Jjamppong is also refreshing.
The store is spacious and has the force of a nice Chinese restaurant.
It is a good course to look around the nearby Chusa Kim Jeong-hui exile site.

A must-visit place to go to Gapado, Moseulpo Unjin Port
Let's have a quick meal before boarding the boat. There are many other places selling food, but the prices seem similar. They sell souvenirs and various snacks. They sell Hallabong juice, squid, and bread. The interior is very cozy. They sell boiled eggs in baskets, and the atmosphere is just like an old-fashioned store. Jeju's specialty, tangerine bungeoppang, and a skewer of fish cake are a perfect match

Features
Egg tart restaurant
If you cut the center of the egg tart, a runny cream filling comes out.
It looks very good, but it's a little hard to eat.
It tasted good, but it felt more like a different kind of bread than an egg tart.
Overall
It's delicious with a different feel than an egg tart
Yeonghae Restaurant

The boiled pork came out first and after eating a couple of bites, the beef stew came out.
A bowl of rice was pressed down very tightly, and the beef stew was the king of spicy and salty
Some say the beef stew is sweet, and some say it's really delicious, so I understand that. ㅋ
Personally, if you like spicy food, there's probably no one who would say no to it!
It's not crazy spicy, but it's refreshing and sweet.
It reminds me of soju!
Oh, but the boiled pork here is the real deal.
The chicken/meat ratio is good, and it's soft and doesn't smell!

Daejeong Bakery with good value for money
#CanadaFlightEvent
If you have a chance to go to Daejeong or Mosulpo, it's a shame not to visit Onnuri Bakery
It's not a bakery that tourists come to buy from, but a bakery that locals mainly visit
As you can see, the prices are very cheap and the bakery has a simple atmosphere
The types of bread are more diverse than you might think
Seogwipo cost-effective bread

A bakery you must have seen at least once when you go back and forth to Daejeong.
The sign and the interior give off a certain feeling that the bread here is delicious.
I bought a bundle of bread on my first visit without even tasting it. There were a lot of breads that tasted like the old days, and the people are nice. First of all, the bread is huge.

Daejeong Oil Market, a must-visit in Jeju
Address: 1089-20 Hamori, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo-si, Jeju
Atmosphere/Facilities: The atmosphere is strangely different from Jeju City Oil Market.
It feels a little less touristy.
Jeju City Oil Market is very crowded and big,
and it feels a little more commercial,
but this place still sells waffles and it's good.

🌼🪽Jeju-do Daejeong-eup 'Sail Coffee'
#EmotionalCafe
I came to Jeju Island on a trip, and even though it was cloudy and windy, this is a cafe where you can see a pretty Jeju view! It's a place where you can see the delicateness of decorating the cafe with cute props. It's a great cafe to hit the Jeju sea. There's also an outdoor seat, but it was very windy so I used it indoors, but it feels like I'm outdoors even when I'm indoors, so I love it! 🐳⛰️

The Path to Daeseong Songaksan Trail
Songaksan in Jeju is a volcano located in the southwest of the island, offering a unique natural landscape of Jeju. Although it is relatively low at 104 meters, the view from the summit is very impressive. Songaksan has two craters, one of which faces the sea, allowing you to enjoy dramatic coastal scenery.
From the summit of Songaksan, you can see Gapado and Marado to the south and Hallasan to the north. On clear days, you can see all these islands and mountains, giving you a sense of liberation with the open view. Additionally, walking along the Songaksan Trail, you can experience the grandeur of nature with the sea and cliffs blending together.
This place is also a historical site where the Japanese army established a military base during the Jeju 4·3 Incident. As you walk along the trail, you can see the remains of coastal artillery and caves used by the Japanese army, making it a place where you can feel Jeju's painful history.
