The Ying capital has now sunk beneath the water around the Baiguishan Reservoir near the museum. 🔹According to the official website, the white jade eagle should be housed in Pingdingshan Museum, but when I visited during this year's May Day holiday I saw a replica. I didn't look into how the exhibit is arranged or whether the piece rotates. 🦅🦅Museum 🔹The museum doesn't have many exhibits, but it's small and well put together, with representative artifacts from different historical periods, so it's worth a visit. 🔹One small complaint: some exhibits don't list their provenance/excavation site, nor do they indicate whether they are replicas, which is a bit confusing. 🚗🚗Half-day tour in Pingdingshan New District 7:00–9:30 AM Xiangshan Temple 10:00–11:30 AM Pingdingshan Museum 🔸If your itinerary is the same as mine, I recommend the Handa Hotel in the new district—great value.
