England was one of those places that felt familiar even before I visited. I had seen London, old English villages, and the countryside so many times in movies, but experiencing them in real life was completely different. London London is an obvious choice, but it really deserves the hype. Seeing Big Ben, Tower Bridge, and Westminster in person felt special. My favorite part was actually just walking around, getting lost between busy streets and quieter neighborhoods. The Cotswolds Probably one of the most beautiful parts of my trip. The stone cottages, small villages, and countryside looked like something from a movie. Bibury and Castle Combe were especially beautiful. This is the kind of place where you don’t need to rush. Bath Bath has a completely different atmosphere. I came for the Roman Baths, but I ended up enjoying the city itself even more. The architecture is gorgeous, and it’s a great place to explore on foot. York York made me feel like I had stepped back in time. Walking through The Shambles and seeing York Minster were easily the highlights. It’s historic, charming, and surprisingly fun to explore. Lake District This was the England I didn’t expect to love so much. Lakes, mountains, green hills, and peaceful little villages everywhere. The ticket cost around £28 and it comes with an audio guide with different language selections. You can spend an hour and half to explore and appreciate the place. Other than roaming the area, their souvenier shop also sells books about Roman history and the likes. After seeing the Roman Baths,just outside of it is the Bath Abbey. The facade is stunning and there are cafes,restaurants,and sitting areas nearby. The entrance to the Abbey is £8. The next destination is the Historic Pulteney Bridge. The bridge itself may look like other medieval bridges in UK but the curved weir structure on the water is the one that gives the area a unique look. Other famous spots not to miss in Bath is the Jane Austen Center, the Circus, and the Royal Crescent especially if you are a Bridgerton Fan.🌸 For book worms,you guys can visit Persephone Books. As a frequent book buyer,I love how all of their books have Grey jacket and a bookmark that matches with the art inside the book. And lastly, for foodies,I recommend Solina Pasta.
