Hikkaduwa is one of the best resorts in Sri Lanka! This time, we will introduce some recommended resort hotels where you can stay at a reasonable price! 🐠 [Coral Sands Hotel] It was a good choice to choose this hotel for my stay in Hikkaduwa 🌺 We were greeted with an amborella-flavored welcome drink, and even though we arrived before 11:30, we were shown to our room early. The room was spacious! When you open the door leading to the outside, there is a pool in front of you, and there are tables and chairs outside, so you can sit and enjoy the sea and the pool. Unfortunately, it rained both nights, but even just sitting here and reading a book or watching a movie made it worth coming to Hikkaduwa. There is a passage that hotel guests can use, and you can go directly to the beach from there. It's the best choice if you want to experience the resort atmosphere! There is also a refrigerator in the room, so you can cool your drinks. There was no hot water on the first day, but it worked fine on the second day. On the other hand, the air conditioning that worked on the first day stopped working on the second day 😂 Amenities include shampoo and shower gel. Don't forget to bring a toothbrush etc... The hotel staff are very kind and attentive to the small details. The location is also great, and you can easily walk to Hikkaduwa station and restaurants! #Travelogue of my stay

Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka, is known as a mecca for surfers. This time, we will introduce three restaurants recommended for solo female travelers 🫶 [Canal view] It is hard to find such a wonderful restaurant. If you want to eat Sri Lankan curry in Hikkaduwa, this is the only choice. It is a little walk away from the beach. There are cows and dogs on the way, but keep walking without getting upset. The restaurant is family-run and seems to be mainly run by a grandmother. Since it is a restaurant in the forest, squirrels, baby mice, and birds come to play. It's like being in Disney world. On the way, she introduced me to her grandson and husband. The homey atmosphere is the best. The mixed fruit juice is the best. It may take a while for the curry to be served, but that's proof that it's delicious. Moreover, it's a relaxing atmosphere so it's no problem. The set includes red rice, papadum, prawn curry, water spinach and tomato, boonchi (green bean) curry, dal, and another type of something, and this is one serving. And it's only 1950 rupees. All the dishes are authentic and somewhat homely, filling both the stomach and the soul. The shrimps are plump and the vegetables have different textures, satisfying both the eyes and the tongue! It was so filling that I couldn't finish it all by myself. I have a separate stomach for sweets, so I ordered curd with fruit for dessert. It was a delicious dessert made with rich curd and sweet colorful fruits. It doesn't matter if you can't see the sea, this is the best restaurant I'll visit again anytime I come to Hikkaduwa. [Isira Coffee Shop & Restaurant] This restaurant is run by a kind old man, and the prices are more reasonable than other restaurants! I was looking for a restaurant like this. The Sri Lankan breakfast is 880 Sri Lankan rupees and is a hearty set of two slices of bread, idiyappam, daal and coconut sambol. You can choose between daal or potato curry. The bread is cold, but fluffy and delicious, and the idiyappam is fragrant and goes well with the curry. The coconut sambol here is spicy, but the dal is mild, so it was well balanced. I managed to finish it all by myself. I was really full! Milk tea 200 Sri Lankan rupees If you ask for sugar, you will be served a gentle sweet black tea with plenty of milk. The black tea is strong and very delicious! I had two cups. It seems to be a popular restaurant, because by the time I left, it was full. I recommend it. [Ocean Drop Hikkaduwa] A recommended restaurant with friendly staff and a great view. The staff are really kind. I was surprised that the cinnamon tea I ordered came in a pot, but they told me that the sea turtles were at Turtle Beach and suggested that I go. The restaurant is directly connected to the sea, so I went down the ladder to Turtle Beach and was able to see the turtles safely. Moreover, when a heavy rain shower came and we couldn't return to the restaurant, they came to pick us up with an umbrella to where we were sheltering from the rain😂 We were sitting at a table by the sea, and they moved all our luggage so that it wouldn't get wet, and they even lent us towels and paper towels. They even gave us hot tea again because it had gotten cold. We ordered fried shrimp with chips, which was quite filling. The shrimp was fried nicely. The price was reasonable, and when it's sunny, you can see the best view. This restaurant represents the kindness of the people of Sri Lanka. Please go and try it. Basic room type + double breakfast + welcome fruit + champagne = 1k+ 🏖️Riff Hikkaduwa is located on Hikkaduwa beach, one of the earliest developed beaches in Sri Lanka. The quality of the seawater and the beach is unquestionable, with white sandy beaches that are very fine. Many people run barefoot on the beach in the morning. 🌊The hotel is all sea view rooms, I stayed on the first floor, but the sea view is unobstructed. When checking in, you will be guided to the lobby, then served a welcome drink, and then you just sit and wait for them to complete your check-in. 🌇The sunset is beautiful at the hotel, and you can see it from your room. The hotel breakfast is a la carte with a rich variety, but the taste is average (but the overall taste in Sri Lanka is average). Although the hotel beach is nice, it is not suitable for swimming in the sea because the waves are quite big, but playing with water on the beach is no problem. 🏊The hotel's swimming pool is an infinity sea view pool, but it is relatively small, and there are even fewer places to lie down, all of which are limited by the small size of the hotel. 🍴The hotel's dining is also average, the chef at the rooftop sunset Japanese restaurant claims to have studied in Japan, but the level is also average. The overall level of the hotel is okay, as long as you don't have high expectations, it is worth the room price.
