You can rent a motorboat that will take you through the entire lake while witnessing several species of birds and wildlife in general. The entire tour could last approximately 2-3 hours. it’s best to plan the boat ride at a time slot that coincides with the sunset. #lakes#nationalpark

The Parawi Duwa Temple is a Buddhist Temple, situated on a beautiful small island close to Matara beach. Surrounded by the Indian ocean, it is accessible by a steel bridge. It is a beautiful and calm place, which you should not miss, when you visit Matara.

Located along this beautiful beach, Zouk Mirissa is a stylish beach club and restaurant that's perfect for day or night. 🍸 Zouk Mirissa is located right in front of Mirissa Beach. ⛱️ Enjoying cocktails, fresh seafood, and Sri Lankan curry with the sound of the waves in the background was truly blissful! During the day, the atmosphere is open and resort-like. At night, music and lighting transform the space into an adult night lounge. Live DJs and party events are held on weekends, creating a special night out. The menu is extensive, with everything from Thai-style seafood to Sri Lankan curry and fresh tropical drinks. They even selected fresh fish and cooked it for us! Everything was photogenic and delicious. Our last night in Sri Lanka was an unforgettable experience. 🏘️Room type/layout: As of February 2025, there are only 3 rooms in total, all facing the sea. The upper floors are still under construction and resources are very limited. There is an outdoor washing area through the corridor, which is mainly used to wash away the sand stuck on the body and legs. Free parking spaces outside the building 🧹Soundproofing/sanitation: At the end of the corridor is a public kitchen and dining room, which provides tableware and a refrigerator. It is mainly convenient for making toast for breakfast. Relatively quiet, determined by the two neighbours, the sounds of the nearby bars and the waves are not audible. Due to the recent renovation, there will be occasional ding-dongs, but I am rarely in the room during the day, so it is not a big problem. 🏕️Nearby attractions: 1. It is very close to the beach. After changing into a swimsuit and taking a key, you can walk a few dozen meters to the beach. You can only see foreigners. 2. It is very close to the whale watching spot in Mirissa. You can drive there in time after 6 am. No need to go there early. 3. Galle Fort is less than 1 hour away. There are many shops and restaurants in the fort. If you want to have afternoon tea at Amman Hotel, make an appointment in advance. No one will be allowed in without an appointment. 4. Stilt fishermen, coconut tree swings, and other check-in spots are all within a half-hour drive 💰️Average consumption: US$116 per night 💗Other tips: 1. Bring your own slippers, preferably two types, one for the beach and walking nearby, and the other for use in the room to avoid sand mixing in. You also need to bring your own toiletries. The property only provides towels. 2. It is also necessary to rent a motorcycle, after all, you still need to go to the nearby supermarket to buy water and food, or eat seafood by the beach, which is about 2 to 3 kilometers away. There is a motorcycle rental point within a 5-minute walk from the B&B. The rental price is about 2,000 rupees/24 hours, and the price is negotiable. Before leaving the hotel, I saw a foreigner next door renting a tuk-tuk and driving it back and parked it. [Salute]

🏝 Mirissa is a warm, tranquil, and comfortable beautiful harbor in Sri Lanka, known as the 'teardrop of the Indian Ocean'. ☑️Recommended activities: 🔹 Mirissa Beach retains its natural charm, quiet and leisurely, very suitable for daydreaming and a relaxing vacation. 🔹 Mirissa is also a surfing hotspot in Sri Lanka, with waves that are perfect for beautiful turns, and the morning is the best time. 🔹 Sri Lanka is one of the world's great whale-watching spots, where you can see large groups of dense and elegant blue whales approaching the coast. The best time for whale watching in Mirissa is from November to April, and it usually takes 3-5 hours, with an average duration of 4 hours. 🌟Special highlights: There is a unique Sri Lankan fishing method here called 'stilt fishing'. Fishermen sit on wooden poles erected in the sea, as if they are fishing on stilts, calm and composed. 🚙Transportation: It costs about seventy bucks to take a taxi from Galle to Mirissa, and there is also a direct bus, which takes about an hour. It costs more than two hundred bucks to take a taxi from Mirissa to Yala, which takes two and a half hours. 📸Photography tips: Stilt fishermen can only be seen in the morning, and the time of sunrise is very photogenic.
