The founders and owners of the brewery were freemen from the Promitz family. In the 18th century, the brewery declined and it took 100 years for it to fall into the hands of an ideal host. It was the prince of Pszczyna, Jan Henryk XI Hochberg - an entrepreneur and visionary who made the brewery a unique place in Europe. The name of the brewery comes from its title.
