Take a single step, and not only do you cross state lines, but the time zone quietly shifts to Pacific Time. 💙 Gazing at the Emerald Blue in the Desert — Lake View Overlook: Just a short drive after leaving the dam, make sure not to miss the Lake View Overlook. From here, you can see the entire panorama of Lake Mead from afar (Pic 8). The brilliant emerald-blue water stretches across the vast, yellowish desert, and the white "bathtub ring" on the rocks is especially striking in the sunlight. Sitting on the rocks, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at this emerald blue is so therapeutic (Pic 9)! We originally planned to go to Rainbow Vista but accidentally discovered this place and were amazed by the scenery.
