Jaigarh Fort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
Don’t forget to visit the Jaigargh Fort when in Jaipur
If you’re heading to #jaipur then you have to stop by the forts there! The Nahargargh, Jaigargh and Amber Fort are all nearby each other and should definitely be visited. (This post is about Jaigargh only, please look at the other posts for the other two forts).
How to get there? You can book an ola or uber for each ride but it would be more convenient to rent out a cab for 8 hours for about 2000rs. Doing such, you have enough time to get to all three forts and take enough pictures.
Mesmerising Details at Amber Fort
One of the gates in #amerfort called #ganeshpole or #ganeshgate. I fell for the meticulous artworks of this entrance. Notice the small window? It is known as Suhag Mandir where ladies of the royals used to watch functions held in the Diwan-i-Am through the latticed windows #theguidetoldus
anyway, apart from pale yellow & pink sandstone, the magnificent #amerfort #amberfort is also made up of glowing white marble. from the turkish bath, the diwan, the chamber and everything in between.
as you look up to the ceiling, to your right, left and beneath your feet, every detailing was just mesmerising and we had so much fun appreciating the beauty of this place

Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur, India
Jaigarh fort is not that famous as Amer fort. Except the biggest Cannon there is nothing much to watch. If you are a history lover & want to explore about ancient time then it will be good for you.
You can walk along the magnificent walls of the fort and get a very good view from there. But except for the huge cannon and the view there is the nothing much to see. You either visit this or Nahargarh fort. Visiting both is not really worth it if you are on a tight schedule of day or 2 in Jaipur.
This is usually deserted a little compared to Amer fort. So monkeys fill the space. Beware of the monkey menace. I recommend carrying a stick with you while walking along the fort walls just in case you encounter monkeys

Sheesh Mahal (Hall of Mirrors) Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Jun)
India's beautiful and magnificent "The Palace of Wanjing"
mirror palace, also known as "the palace of Wanjing", the entire palace is carved flowers, the threshold window is framed by art, and the temple is embedded with glass. The wall, under the reflection of the sun, shines everywhere. However, the most amazing thing is the wonder of the "Gate of the Palace". Its inlaid lenses and colored gemstones are exactly the same as Agra's famous Taj Mahal. It only needs to ignite the candlelight to reflect the flash of thousands of rays, which is a unique spectacle in the world. "The Palace of Wanjing"--As the name implies, it is a mirror-like palace. In modern times, mirrors and glass are the most common decorative materials. However, more than 500 years ago, mirrors and glass were as valuable as today's gems. In the Qing Dynasty, the mirrors of the Qing Dynasty were only possible for the emperors and nobles. The Palace of Mirrors is also the most famous and characteristic building in the castle. It was built in 1675 and was once the palace of the king. The unique design of the palace, the temple is decorated with enamel flowers, and the inner walls are all inlaid with thousands of thumb-sized mercury lenses. Under the refract of the sun, it is very beautiful. It is said that the earliest all are gems, and later changed to mercury lenses.

Jal Mahal on water
#jalmahal "Water Palace" is a palace located in the middle of the #mansagarlake in Jaipur city, the capital of the state of Rajasthan. Though the palace only appears to be a single storey, there are four further submerged levels with depth of 15 feet. Most importantly, it is only 3 min walk from our Regenta Hotel.
The palace was originally constructed in 1699; the building and the lake around it were later renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
The Jal Mahal palace is an architectural showcase of the Rajput style of architecture (common in Rajasthan) on a grand scale. The building has a picturesque view of Man Sagar Lake, but owing to its seclusion from land is equally the focus of a viewpoint from the Man Sagar Dam on the eastern side of the lake in front of the backdrop of the surrounding Nahargarh ("tiger-abode") hills
Jal Mahal जल महल
#2024wish
Jal Mahal, which translates to "Water Palace," is a stunning architectural marvel located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Situated amidst the Man Sagar Lake, the palace appears to float on the water, creating a mesmerizing sight.
The Jal Mahal was built in the 18th century by Maharaja Madho Singh I as a hunting lodge and a summer retreat. The palace's architecture showcases a unique blend of Rajput and Mughal styles, with its red sandstone structure contrasting beautifully against the tranquil blue waters of the lake.
While the Jal Mahal itself is not open to the public for interior exploration, visitors can admire its beauty from the banks of the lake and nearby viewpoints. Jal Mahal View Point is located Amer Road Jaipur Rajasthan. Jal Mahal in Mansgar Lake View Point near Lake road side is well maintained by JDA Jaipur Rajasthan but Lake is very dirty not clean water properly. A must visit place and you have to take a picture here if you are in Jaipur. Besides looking at this structure, there is nothing much to do.
Best time to visit this place is in the evening. There is place for the visitors on the bank of the Lake just beside the road to enjoy the view of this place. This can be planned during the visit to Amer fort as this is on the way. Probably a beautiful place of the evening to spend some time in your Jaipur visit.
