It was a day filled with the breathtaking beauty of nature, the taste of Michelin-starred tonkatsu, and sweet desserts! 1. Overwhelming Scale! The Living, Breathing Mount Aso 🌋 Our trip began at Mount Aso, the symbol of Kumamoto! The scenery was breathtaking from the drive up, and as we neared the crater, our jaws dropped. I was overwhelmed by the majesty of nature as I witnessed the white smoke billowing out before my eyes...✨ The breathtaking harmony of the grasslands and the volcano was truly breathtaking. It's the perfect spot for a memorable photo! 2. Kumamoto's Top-Tier Tonkatsu, 'Katsuretsutei Shinshigai Main Branch' 🥩 Even Mount Diamond is a sight to behold after a meal! I visited Kumamoto's most famous restaurant, 'Katsuretsutei Shinshigai Main Branch.' There was a bit of a wait, but the first bite made it worth it. The thick slices of meat were bursting with juice, and the batter was crispy enough to burn the roof of your mouth! (The epitome of crispy on the outside, soft on the inside 👍) The savory flavor of the homemade sesame sauce... I understand why they call it the best tonkatsu in the world. You absolutely must visit this place. 3. Edo Period Emotion 'Sakuranobaba Josaien' & 'Tente' Ice Cream 🍦 After a satisfying meal, we took a stroll to 'Sakuranobaba Josaien.' This shopping street is decorated like a traditional Japanese street, and the charming and charming shops were fun to browse. A sparrow couldn't just pass by a mill, right? While wandering through the dessert shops, I grabbed some ice cream at TENTE! They're famous for their soft-serve ice cream topped with fruit and other toppings.
