Old Town Hall on the bridge, Bamberg

One of the most important sights of Bamberg is the historic town hall. According to legend the bishop of Bamberg did not grant the citizens any land for the construction of a town hall. This prompted the townsfolk to ram stakes into the river Regnitz to create an artificial island between the two districts, on which the Bamberg Town Hall (Altes Rathaus )was erected. We went to this old town hall in different timing - evening and morning. The pictures really look good in both timings. The most beautiful view of the town hall is from the Geyerswörthsteg south of the town hall.
