Chinese-style Ubosot at Wat Wisetkar

🏡Wat Wisetkar, originally named Wat Wisetawas, was built around 1850 by an official during the reign of King Rama III named Rak, who was granted the title Muen Wiset but commonly called Muen Rak. Therefore, the temple was called Wat Muen Rak. Later, King Rama IV changed the name to Wat Wisetkar. The important and interesting features within the temple include: 🏠The Ubosot, built in Chinese art style, lacks the traditional Thai roof decorations. The gable is adorned with Sangkhalok ceramics. The walls are made of thick bricks, and the doors and windows are made of large, thick wooden planks that open and close with a latch. There are floral decorations behind the Ubosot.
