The Second Ring Greenway, which unfolds along the ancient city moat—

🏰🌲 The Second Ring Road in Beijing basically coincides with the outline of the city during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and thus is mostly accompanied by a moat. 🌆🌄 🚲🌳 The urban public green spaces, suburban forest lands, and riverside green spaces along this line have all been integrated to form the 'Second Ring Greenway'. 🌿🌇 🌸🚵 The Second Ring Greenway is the most central municipal greenway in Beijing, with a total length of 35 kilometers and a total area of about 100 hectares, spanning the Dongcheng, Xicheng, Chaoyang, and Fengtai districts. 🌉🌳 🌳🌈 The greenway is divided into five types: ecological greenway, urban greenway, landscape greenway, cultural greenway, and comprehensive greenway, fully meeting the residents' needs for leisure, sightseeing, and travel. 🌄🌼 🌼🚶 Every section of the greenway features a variety of themed landscapes, set up according to the natural scenery, historical relics, and cultural elements of the location, with dozens of themes in total. 🏞🚲 🌉🌸 The northern line includes Tanxi Shengjing, Desheng Qiyu, Zhonggu Yuyin, Chenge Muying, Guhe Huayu, Fangong Yingyue, and Chunchang Xinyan. 🌲🌇 🌄🌾 The western line includes Shuncheng Park, Financial Street Green Space, Tianning Tower Shadow, Ji Bei Xia Wei, Tong Que Wei Lan, Taiye Jinbo, and Ying Tian Huaigu. 🌳🌸 🚲🌊 The eastern line includes Water Plant Interest, Chunmen Qifu, Granary New Look, Guyuan Chunqiu, Jintai Autumn Charm, and Longtan Fish Leap. 🌴🌄 🌞🌳 The southern line includes Daguan Pingdu, You'an Wenyin, Taoran Chunyu, Linhe Zhigeng, Yongding Xianghe, Linbo Wentian, and Zuo'an Pinmei. 🌈🌾 🌳🌊 The landscape is diverse and includes many elements related to important historical relics, each worth exploring in person. 🚵🌄 🚶‍♂🌳 Today, I only strolled a little in the southwest corner of the Second Ring, walking from Caihuying Bridge to You'anmen Bridge on the Second Ring Road, touching upon the Daguan Pingdu and You'an Wenyin landscapes in the greenway. 🌊🌲 🌸🌱 This section of the greenway does not have many large buildings, but is a narrow green belt about tens of meters wide between the city moat and the Second Ring Road, lush with trees and blooming flowers in summer. 🌳🌄 🌈🌳 A waterfront promenade has been built along the moat, and the Grand View Garden scenic area is just across the river on the west side of the park, with an arch bridge spanning the river, which is also the location of the 'Daguan Pingdu' landscape. 🌿🌞 🚶‍♀🌴 There is a narrow one-way road for bicycles on the riverbank, with green spaces on the south side of the road, including forest paths, walking trails, fitness areas, and small plazas for various leisure and sports activities. 🌳🌉 🌾🌞 In the hot summer, this place is shaded by trees and cooled by a gentle breeze, making it an excellent activity area for nearby residents, and indeed it is very popular. 🌿🌄
