Princesses, Make Way | Experience Princess Costumes in Beijing

| Experience Princess Costumes in Beijing. 👸 I decided to take some photos in princess costumes on a whim when I was in Beijing. The photos turned out great, so I'm sharing my experience with you all today. It's all useful information, so take note! 🚗 Transportation and Travel Route 1️⃣ Makeup and Costumes 🎀 Go straight to Wangfu Century, where the whole building is dedicated to princess makeup and costumes. You can make a reservation in advance. It takes about 1.5 hours to do your makeup and choose your clothes. The makeup is thick, but I was quite satisfied. 2️⃣ Route to the Forbidden City 🚶‍♀ After your makeup is done, navigate from Wangfu Century to the Forbidden City (Meridian Gate). It's a 10-minute walk. You can leave your suitcase at the makeup store. 3️⃣ Forbidden City Travel Route 🗺 Enter through the Meridian Gate, walk straight to the Imperial Garden, turn to Jingren Palace - Yanxi Palace - Exit through Donghua Gate. It takes about 2 hours. If you have time, you can visit the Treasure Gallery and the Clock and Watch Gallery. After exiting Donghua Gate, you can return to the makeup store or have a meal nearby before returning the clothes. We went to Siji Minfu. We got a number at Jingren Palace and waited for half an hour at the restaurant before we could eat. 📸 Photography Tips 1️⃣ Commercial Photography Restrictions in the Forbidden City ❗ Commercial photography is prohibited in the Forbidden City. You can take photos outside before entering the Forbidden City and take photos with your friends while you play. Remember to buy tickets 1-2 days in advance. 2️⃣ Tips for Staying Warm 🥶 It's very cold in Beijing. Wear a warm, fitted undershirt before changing into your costume, or you'll be cold and look bloated. You can wear your own pants and shoes. 3️⃣ Photography Location Selection 📍 In addition to the Forbidden City, places like Prince Kung's Mansion, the Summer Palace, and Beihai Park (highly recommended) are also great for taking photos. They have palace walls, gardens, and lakes, and they're not crowded. Forbidden City tickets are hard to get. If your makeup is done early, you can also check in at the Drum Tower, where there are fewer people in the morning. If you also like princess costumes, take advantage of the winter in Beijing to take a set of photos. It's an unexpected joy! ‼️
