#summervacay Potes is one of those towns that just makes you wanna wander aimlessly and stop for snacks every five minutes. It’s tucked right between mountains, so you’ve got epic views in every direction, plus cute old streets with stone bridges, wooden balconies, and chill little plazas. The vibe is super relaxed and kind of magical, especially with the river running through it. You can easily spend a whole day just walking around, popping into shops, and trying local stuff like queso picón or orujo (which is super strong but kind of fun to taste). The mix of old buildings and nature is perfect, like one minute you’re sipping coffee in a cobbled alley, the next you’re staring up at massive green peaks. It’s also a great base if you’re heading into Picos de Europa, but even on its own, Potes has that warm, small-town charm that just feels good. Nothing fancy, just super cozy and peaceful. Total must-stop when exploring Cantabria.
