A little taste of Greek in the Philippines!

The Taj Mahal, an Indian mausoleum constructed as a representation of unending love, and the Temple of Leah have similar histories. Teodorico Soriano Adarna's tribute to his late wife Leah Albino-Adarna, his life partner for 53 years, is called Temple of Leah. They are the great-grandparents of Cebu-based motel chain owner Queensland and Filipina actress Ellen Adarna. The building of the Temple of Leah, which is tucked away in the highland barangay of Busay in Cebu City, began in 2012. According to reports, the temple has 24 chambers, some of which include an art gallery, museum, library, and bar. Additionally, it is covered in life-size statues of Roman gladiators, lions, and angels. Everyone has free access to the portico and the foyer, where a 10-foot-tall brass statue of Leah is placed, thanks to wide stone steps. On the statue's base is a memorial plaque that reads: “Beloved Wife and Mother: Leah V. Albino-Adarna was chosen Matron Queen of her Alma Mater the University of Southern Philippines. This bronze statue portrays her composure and regal bearing when she was crowned. May the beholder discern her innate beauty, poise and gentleness.”#tripblazers#mytripvlog
