České Budějovice

Located at the confluence of the Vltava and Malše rivers in South Bohemia, there is a medieval town called České Budějovice, generally abbreviated to 'Budějovice' or 'Budějovice'. As early as 1265, it was built by the Bohemian King Przemysl Otakar II. Although it is a small town, it is known to boast two of the Czech Republic's greatest: the 133-meter square old town square is the largest square in the Czech Republic; the 20-meter high Samson fountain in the center of the square is the highest fountain in the Czech Republic. Another thing that cannot be ignored is: since the 16th century, beer has been produced here using the Pilsen brewing method, named 'Budějovický Budvar' or 'Budějovice Budweiser'. Because budejovicky is called budweis in German, translated into Chinese as Budweiser, so Budějovice beer in Germany or German-speaking areas is called Budweiser, translated into Chinese as Budweiser. Therefore, Budějovice is now also called Budweiser Town. In the second half of the 19th century, it was introduced to the United States by German-Americans. It is said that Budějovice's 'Budweiser' beer and the American 'Budweiser' beer have been suing for naming rights for many years. The final judgment is: both families enjoy the name Budweiser; the European market is monopolized by Budějovice 'Budweiser', and American 'Budweiser' cannot touch it; outside of Europe, American 'Budweiser' is allowed to market. On the afternoon of August 14, 2010, I made a brief stop in Budějovice, or 'Budweiser Town', for less than two hours. It was really a 'dragonfly skimming the water', just 'touching the water' in that square and the surrounding area. There were not many tourists, a group of cyclists were taking pictures on the square, and the leisurely waiters under the arcade were sitting and smoking... It matched the leisurely taste of the entire ancient city. Of course, my trip was hurried and didn't match. But even if it doesn't match, Budějovický Budvar beer, you still have to sit down, float a big white, and still feel the fragrance in your mouth.
