Hey lovelies🥰, I recently discovered an amazing hotel—Banshan Banshui Hotel🏨—and I just HAVE to share it with you! 🌳At first glance, this hotel feels like stepping into a landscape painting🖼️. Surrounded by lush green mountains and crystal-clear streams, it blends seamlessly with nature, as if Mother Earth herself crafted this serene retreat⛰️. 📸Here’s the highlight! This hotel offers an irresistible perk—complimentary travel photography!😎 For someone like me who wants stunning travel photos🌈 without splurging on a professional photographer, this is an absolute lifesaver🌟! 🎞️The hotel’s photographer is both professional and thoughtful🥳. Before the shoot, we discussed my preferred style, and during the session, they patiently guided my poses🤳 while capturing my most natural and beautiful moments. In the hotel garden🌸, they had me gently touch the flowers while gazing into the distance, resulting in artsy, fresh shots; on the lakeside boardwalk🌉, they captured me running freely against the wind, creating dynamic, energetic photos full of life🏃♀️. 🏨The hotel itself boasts top-notch facilities and service👍. The rooms are spacious, bright, and cozy🛏️, with every detail reflecting quality. The ultra-soft bedding ensured sweet dreams every night😴. The hotel restaurant was another delightful surprise🤩, serving authentic local dishes🍱 that left me craving more. 🌃Plus, the public areas are perfect for photography📷 and relaxation. The grand lobby, stylish lounges, and scenic viewing decks all make for stunning backdrops🎬. 💖My stay at Banshan Banshui Hotel wasn’t just about comfort and delicious food—it also gifted me a set of high-quality travel photos🌠. The experience was simply incredible! Lovelies, if you want a relaxing stay🛏️, mouthwatering local cuisine🍜, AND free, gorgeous photos📸, hurry and book Banshan Banshui Hotel! It’s guaranteed to create unforgettable travel memories🥳!

📍Location: No. 108 Xiangjiang Middle Road, Tianxin District, Changsha
🚚Navigation: Du Fu Pavilion
🎫Admission: 20 yuan for adults; free for seniors aged 65+ and children (daytime session)
⏰Opening hours: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM (split into daytime and nighttime sessions)
🕶Visit duration: 1 hour
✨ A quick word
· Came to Changsha for a day on a whim. I'd already visited Wuyi Square, Orange Isle, and Yuelu Mountain, so I wanted to see something else. Little did I know, it was a letdown.
· Du Fu Pavilion is just a replica ancient building by the river, built to commemorate Du Fu. However, there's very little information or actual artifacts related to Du Fu inside. It's definitely not worth the admission price (daytime ticket). The nighttime performances might be better (though I heard they're not great, it's crowded, and the price goes up).
📷 Photo recommendations
· Main building: Is it unique? Not really, it's similar to Tianxin Pavilion next door. Is it ugly? Not exactly, it's decent for photos.
· Du Fu stone statue: You can see it as soon as you enter the pavilion. It looks great with the background.
· Du Fu's life: They used an entire floor (trust me, that's a criticism) to introduce Du Fu's life. The use of screen animations adds a little something (but not much).
· View from the pavilion: Take photos of the river, the city, and people. The view here is pretty good.
· Nighttime performance: I didn't go, so I won't comment or recommend it.
💡Nearby recommendations
· Orange Isle: A must-visit spot. You can walk or take the sightseeing train (the wheeled train).
· Qia Tongxue Shaonian Square: A great place to take photos of the Orange Isle statue. Accessible by subway. Remember to go to the second floor of the cafe for a photo spot (free).
· Changsha Wenheyou: Although the one in Guangzhou didn't make it, the one in Changsha is still quite good. It's fun for photos, eating, and drinking. The small cable car on the roof is a bit pricey.

✅ Quick background
This is an important southern node of the Tea Horse Road and the site of the last remaining horse caravan in the south. In ancient times, Anhua dark tea was transported by horse caravans along the bluestone ancient road to the north for horse trading and commerce. It preserves authentic stone slabs with hoof prints, ancient post stations, and covered bridges, combining Meishan culture with a canyon forest summer retreat.
📍 Core attractions (scenic area experience + original historical sites)
1. Anhua Tea Horse Ancient Road Scenic Area (paid main area)
◦ Chajing Mountain Street: Ancient-style market, NPC interactions, tea whisking experience, lei cha, and snacks
◦ Cliff cable car, high-altitude spider web, Guanshan Canyon (3 km, plank road, waterfalls, stream trekking, cool summer retreat, natural oxygen bar)
◦ Optional paid activities: Horseback riding through the tea garden ancient road (approx. CNY 60/one-way), amphibious off-road vehicles
◦ Luye Xianzhong: Deer feeding, family-friendly shallow stream trekking
2. Free original historical sites (authentic old ancient road, visit along the way)
◦ Dongshi Old Street: Century-old bluestone slabs, old wooden shops, ancient post station ruins
◦ Yongxi Bridge: Ancient covered bridge from the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty, located by the Maxixi River, very photogenic
🚗 Changsha → Anhua transportation (driving recommended)
· Driving: Approx. 3.5 hours from Yuhua District, Changsha. Navigate to "Anhua Tea Horse Ancient Road Scenic Area". The mountain roads are winding, so please drive slowly. Free parking is available at the scenic area.
· Hours: 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, last entry at 5:00 PM. Peak season: 6:30 AM–6:30 PM; off-season: 6:30 AM–5:30 PM.
· Admission: CNY 80 (includes cable car and Guanshan Canyon). Horseback riding, deer park, and off-road vehicles are charged separately. Children under 1.2 meters are free for general admission. Dongshi Old Street and Yongxi Bridge are free.
Simplified 1-day itinerary (relaxed and unhurried)
Visitor Center > Chajing Mountain Street (eat and explore, take photos) > Cliff cable car > Hike Guanshan Canyon (stream trekking and waterfalls) > Optional: Horseback riding/high-altitude spider web > Afternoon: Visit Dongshi Old Street and Yongxi Bridge on the way back > Return

12:30 PM Ben Luobo Liuyang Restaurant | Arrive early to avoid the long lunch queue. Affordable, authentic Hunan cuisine; remember to ask for "mild" spice

⚠️ Tips for high-intensity travel
▪️ The Hunan Museum and Orange Isle are extremely crowded during holidays; plan your time well
▪️ Changsha is super hot in the summer! Sun protection, a fan, and hydration are essential
▪️ Most Hunan restaurants are on the spicy side; if you can't handle spice, be sure to mention it in advance
