Zhangzhuo Theater in Chengcheng, Shaanxi

The Zhangzhuo Theater was built in the third year of the Tongzhi era of the Qing Dynasty, and it has been more than 200 years now. The exquisite brick carvings of the dragon soaring across the sea and the dragon and phoenix presented on the gable walls on both sides of the stage are vivid and magnificent. The Zhangzhuo Grand Theater is the only remaining masterpiece of Ming and Qing architecture in the county, and it has been rated as a key cultural relic protection unit in Chengcheng County.
