Must-Stay Budget Hotel Recommendations in Chengdu

Chengdu Mao Ye JW Marriott Hotel || Service: The welcome staff is polite and enthusiastic, proactively inquiring if luggage assistance is needed, check-in is processed quickly with room cards and courtesy forms prepared in advance, actively informing about the hotel facility opening hours, and cleaning staff in the elevator courteously give way. (During the stay, met a very gentlemanly staff member who proactively greeted us, canceled his own elevator floor to accompany us to the parking lot, putting the guest first, creating a full experience) Members get breakfast plus a choice of 3 additional perks minibar is complimentary, including glass-bottled Evian water, soft drinks, and beer Room: 82 square meter executive suite (smoking room) with 180-degree + 270-degree floor-to-ceiling window views (as shown in the picture). There are many office buildings around, so privacy protection is important. The room is equipped with a mini-fridge, coffee machine, JBL speaker, and a TV (rotatable but not castable) including a guest bathroom and cloakroom. The overall layout is reasonable, the ceiling height is comfortable, and the bedding is nice, dry, and clean without any fluff. (Smoking rooms may have a smell, but after opening the window for 20 minutes, there's hardly any odor left. If you mind, remember to tell the hotel in advance) Bathroom: Didn't wear the bathrobe so no comment, disposable slippers are thick and good, both guest and master bathrooms have non-smart toilets, floor-to-ceiling windows require privacy protection, shower water pressure is stable, amenities include the usual JW trio, didn't use the bathtub, double basin setup, no dust on the countertop, floor mats laid out in advance which is considerate, toothbrush of medium hardness, mouthwash and bath salts provided. Dining: Card swipe for seating, proactive in asking for beverage preferences, ample and clear meal pairing, and replenishment before meal collection, fresh squeezed juices, normal taste level Executive Lounge: Card access required for the club floor, the lady was very enthusiastic in introducing the meals, hot food includes 6 meat dishes and 4 vegetarian plus cold dishes and appetizers, fruit and desserts are very fresh and constantly replenished, didn't go during afternoon tea so no comment Public Area: Gym (card access required) with complete equipment, someone responsible for cleaning, well-maintained, didn't go to the swimming pool so no comment As the saying goes, when hardware is lacking, service makes up for it. When service wins hearts, the shortcomings of hardware are easily selectively ignored Stayed here twice, the first time during the pandemic period, there were few staff and the overall experience was average, lacking some vitality, but understandable. This stay was like getting to know the hotel all over again, felt very welcomed, hope it stays this way! Really great!
