#VisitChiangMai Roi Thawarabarn Baan Thewalai This building was built in 1998 by Mr. Khem Mrukpitak with the intention of transforming this place into 3 characteristics: a Thai painting gallery, a source of knowledge and a residence of the gods. "Roi Thawarabarn Baan Thewalai" comes from the fact that there are 100 gods and gods on each door. The highlight here is the three-headed Ganesha in the blessing posture, made from a single piece of golden teak wood and is the largest carved Ganesha in the world. There is also the world's largest 3D carved glass, an image of Garuda fighting a naga, modeled from a gilded dhamma casket, a masterpiece from the Ayutthaya period, approximately 350 years old.
