Chiang Mai | Wat Phra That Doi Suthep

One of the must-visit landmarks in Chiang Mai: Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. This time, we chose to visit in the evening, and the atmosphere, lighting, and scenery were just perfect. We took the cable car 🚠 up the mountain directly to the temple. The golden stupa glowed warmly, surrounded by a gradient sky transitioning from golden yellow and orange-red to deep blue night. Standing on the observation deck, you can see the lights of Chiang Mai city gradually illuminating, creating a tranquil and expansive view that makes you reluctant to leave. For the descent, we opted for the iconic Dragon Staircase, and the walk down felt meditative, almost like a ritual. At the foot of the mountain, we took a Grab ride straight to Chiang Mai University Night Market. The lively and vibrant atmosphere of the night market was a stark contrast to the serenity we just experienced! We wrapped up the day perfectly with dinner, some fresh juice, and a few small souvenirs.
