High-value Taiwanese hot pot in Chiayi

Six Doors Hot Pot is a chain Taiwanese-style hot pot restaurant offering affordable prices. However, if you want more meat, you’ll need to pay extra. Drinks, ice cream, lard rice, and noodles are self-serve and unlimited. I tried three different flavors of hot pot, and they were all pretty good! The Intestine Stinky Pot includes intestines and stinky tofu, topped with satay sauce, which tastes similar to the Three Mom’s Stinky Pot. I added extra beef to this pot for an additional NT$30, while the original pot comes with pork slices. The Classic Original Pot features pork slices without any extra charge and has a lighter flavor. For the Seafood Pot, I paid extra to swap for squid and shrimp, but the shrimp’s freshness was average and far inferior to the live shrimp at Chiba Hot Pot! The semi-self-serve lard rice was mediocre in taste; I personally didn’t enjoy it, though it seems popular among others. There’s also Prince noodles and pot-burned noodles available to eat freely, but it seems chicken shredded noodles are no longer offered. The drinks and ice cream were decent, and the prices are reasonable, making it a good casual dining option. Service is minimal since it’s semi-self-serve, and parking is inconvenient! The only parking option nearby is at Zhongzheng Park.
