The iconic mirror water platform at Qiandao Lake Shanshui Yagu Fenglin Hotel reflects the surrounding mountains and lake, blurring the boundary between architecture and nature. On rainy days, the misty atmosphere creates a scene reminiscent of a traditional Chinese landscape painting. Our suite featured a 270-degree lake view, with the bathtub cleverly positioned at a corner viewing spot. The interior is predominantly light oak, complemented by handmade pottery, bamboo lampshades, and a mini bar. Most impressive was the smart technology—when the electric curtains open, the bedside control panel simultaneously adjusts the indoor lighting to "morning mode." The restaurant's chef team explores surrounding villages for ingredients: freshly caught silverfish made into egg-drop soup, organic farm-delivered seasonal vegetables blanched in spring water, and specialty hot pot slowly simmered with Chun'an local pork and mountain bamboo shoots. The lakeside infinity pool extends toward the water and converts to a hot spring pool in winter. The "Listening to Pines" SPA nestled in the bamboo grove uses camellia seed oil with traditional massage techniques. The library houses an extensive collection of local chronicles and botanical atlases. Though only about 15 minutes by car from the town center, the hotel enjoys an exclusive private bay. A 10-minute walk takes you to "Red Leaf Bay," a photographer's paradise that's especially stunning in November when the foliage changes color. Electric bicycles can be reserved to ride along a dedicated green path to the thousand-year-old "Fuze" village with its well-preserved Hui-style architecture.
