Rumors about InterContinental and other hotels here have long piqued my interest—time to experience it firsthand! 🚗 Transportation From Suzhou, take a 2.5-hour high-speed train. However, since Qiandao Lake's attractions are spread out, driving is more convenient. If time allows, stop by Hangzhou for a quick visit along the way. 🏡 Room The Family Lake View Room thoughtfully includes a small bed by the window with stunning views. A tiny balcony, dual-height sinks, a sterilizer, and baby gates add to the convenience. 🌟 Activities 🍃 Xianshan Botanical Garden Hike: A great way to boost kids' outdoor time and distance vision. Nearby, a 🍓 strawberry farm charges ¥40/jin. 🐟 Petting Zoo: Goldfish, ducks, and rabbits—kids can collect feed from the front desk daily. A hit with little ones! 🎠 1,800㎡ Kids' Club: Divided by age, featuring ball pits, slides, tent camping, climbing frames, rocking horses, seesaws, parent-child pool/table tennis, curling, and more. Fun for all ages! 🌊 Pools: Indoor (year-round) and outdoor (July–September). 🗼 InterContinental Lighthouse 🐯 Lakeside Mini Train: ¥118 for two adults and one child (20-minute loop around the hotel). 🚴 Bike Rentals: ¥50/hour. Lakeside sketching and Saturday bonfire parties. 📸 Photo Shoot: Free three photos per stay (with optional styling), extras at ¥80 each—I couldn’t resist adding three more! 🍱 Dining Breakfast has limited variety but some unique options: veggie pancakes, salt-free steamed shrimp eggs, baby rice paste, and kids' noodles in the children's section. The noodle station’s zhajiangmian was underwhelming 😓, but the egg station offered classics plus egg-and-fermented-rice pudding. ❌ Downsides ▫️ Flies in the executive lounge—spotted multiple, including one on the meat. Suggest using food covers. ▫️ No welcome fruit, just an empty basket. Unacceptable! ▫️ Kids' club lighting is dim. 🌟 The entire Xianshan area serves as the hotel’s grounds, making it a self-contained scenic spot. Fresh air is guaranteed without stepping outside! Overall, a great choice for families, seniors, or friends seeking a rejuvenating getaway in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region.
