Hyatt Regency Dalian: A hotel with sea view rooms Dalian is a popular summer destination, and prices are around CNY 2,000. There were a lot of people waiting to check in in the afternoon, so I asked the concierge to help me take the elevator to the Regency Club to check in, but the concierge said, "Can't you check in downstairs?" I was a little confused. The service at the Regency Club was good, and the view was the same as the east side rooms. You can see Xinghai Square and the Centennial Sculpture, and the light show on the cross-sea bridge at night. All the rooms at this Hyatt Regency have sea views. Only one suite on each floor faces the sea, and the rest are basically the same, except for the floor height and angle, so the basic rooms are quite cost-effective. The room decor is quite ordinary, with only one sink, and the decor is not as good as some of the newer Hyatt hotels. Everyone says this hotel is in a good location, next to Xinghai Square, but I found it not very convenient. It's difficult to get a taxi at mealtimes, and the roads are very congested. The subway station is not far, but you have to walk a bit. It's very close to the beach, but the sand is too hard to play on. There are a lot of rides downstairs, which I think is the best part. There are a lot of exciting rides, like roller coasters and drop towers, and they're open until 11 pm. There's something for both adults and children. I think it would be better if this hotel had rooms with views of Xinghai Square. It's the largest square in Asia, and as a tourist, I found it very impressive to look down from above.
