Shibatang Scenic Area (Dawu, Hubei)

Shibatang, located in the northwestern part of Dawu County at Sanlicheng Town, is home to the 'Ten-mile Cascading Waterfalls and Echoing Pools', hidden deep within a hundred miles of surrounding mountain ranges. The deep mountain gorge of Dawu Shibatang, over 10 kilometers in length, has been sculpted by nature into a series of stunning pools including Baimatan, Heilongtan, Huxiaotan, Xiangshuitan, Miletan, Guanyintan, and Qidietan, among the total of eighteen picturesque pools. To the south of Shibatang lies Jingchengzhai, to the west it is supported by Wufeng Mountain, and to the north it leans against Guangtushan. The trickling streams from the mountain ravines converge into a river. In the crystal-clear streams, one can see playful sand-burrowing fish and spot the pristine white pebbles at the bottom of the pools.
