The design philosophy of Xislope Moganshan Resort is based on a deep understanding of Moganshan's traditional dwellings. The rammed earth walls, old wooden beams, and grey tiles, all weathered by time, have been carefully preserved, becoming the most touching narrators in the new space. Each guest room has its own character, but they all share the same design language: natural wood furniture exudes a warm luster, hand-woven linen curtains filter the mountain sunlight, and brass lamps cast a warm glow at night. The bedding is especially noteworthy—a combination of Egyptian long-staple cotton and natural latex mattresses. Each room has a private terrace or courtyard; at night, you can lie in the bathtub and look up at the starry sky. The designer deliberately reduced the interference of electronic devices, replacing them with fireplaces, tea sets, and pour-over coffee sets, all of which can slow people down. The culinary philosophy here is simple: local and seasonal. Freshly dug spring bamboo shoots in the morning, homemade dried plums from the villagers, and eggs from free-range chickens are transformed by the chef's skillful hands into simple yet stunning mountain delicacies. In the afternoon, try the special mountain spring afternoon tea, freshly baked walnut cake with wild honey, accompanied by Moganshan's unique golden bud tea. Perhaps the most luxurious feature of Xislope is its encouragement of guests to "do nothing." The most popular activity is the open-air movie at night. The screen hangs between two ancient trees, and the audience sits on grass mats wrapped in blankets, as if returning to the time of watching open-air movies in childhood. Laoling Village, where Xislope is located, is itself a place worth exploring. In the morning, follow the housekeeper to Mama Goldfish's vegetable garden to pick and learn about the true appearance of various seasonal vegetables; in the afternoon, follow the hiking routes planned by the resort to reach several hidden viewing platforms.
