The World Wonder of Water Diversion Without a Dam - Dujiangyan

I visited Dujiangyan when I was very young. Back then, I could only see the Fish Mouth section as other attractions were not yet developed. This time, I avoided the peak travel season and joined a tour group through Trip.com to revisit this marvel, and I gained so much more insight. First, I climbed Mount Yulei, where a seven-story ancient-style pavilion stands as a landmark. From the Yulei Pavilion, I had a bird's-eye view of the entire Dujiangyan irrigation system, which deepened my understanding of this masterpiece. By leveraging its unique geographical location, the system achieves water diversion, flood control, sediment discharge, and irrigation, continuously benefiting the region for over 2,000 years. One cannot help but admire the ingenuity of Li Bing. The 360-degree view from Yulei Pavilion offers sights of Qingcheng Mountain, the Min River, Longmen Mountain Range, and the ancient city. After descending the mountain, I continued to explore the Erwang Temple, crossed the Anlan Suspension Bridge, visited the Fish Mouth and Feisha Weir, and viewed the Fulong Temple from afar. I exited through Lidui Park, and for those not in a hurry, you can also visit the nearby Guanxian Ancient City.
