Thousands of years of ancient charm: the quiet time of Hakozaki Shrine

#FukuokaItinerary When you first enter Hakozaki Shrine, the ancient large torii gate seems to silently welcome every visitor, telling the thousand-year history. The towering trees blocked out the sunlight, and the quiet path was covered with tiny shadows of the trees. One's footsteps were gentle, as if afraid of disturbing the solemnity and tranquility. As you approach the main hall, the magnificent architecture will take your breath away, with its carved beams and painted buildings exuding an intricate beauty. The Hachiman Omikami enshrined here is regarded as the deity that protects Fukuoka. Worshipers pray devoutly, whether for peace or blessings for the future, and this place seems to be able to provide a calming force. In the courtyard, the clear pool reflects the ancient pines and the vermilion corridor, like a flowing painting. It happened to be a Kagura performance, and the melodious music and dance brought people back to the depths of history. When I left, I looked back at Hakozaki Shrine. Its ancient charm and tranquility still lingered in my heart, becoming an unforgettable memory of my trip to Fukuoka.
