Hiking the volcano mountain

One of the iconic mountain in Garut. Mount Guntur is an active volcano which is also become a favorite destination for camping or hiking. Lots of travelers from another city just for camp or even just for hike to get to the waterfall only. You can see the downtown from above and also see another mountain that surrounding Garut city . Do not underestimate this mountain. Though it's height is only 2249 masl, the track is quite difficult for beginner hikers. The best time to hike is at night, since you can see the Garut city landscape with it's sparkling lights. Most people hike on weekends. Summits are best to be started at 5.00 AM.
