Lüneburg

Lüneburg is located in the northern part of Lower Saxony, Germany, and is a city with a long history as a salt capital and a Hanseatic League city. This millennium-old city is one of the beautiful cities in northern Germany, which was spared during World War II, allowing its dreamlike medieval cityscape to be perfectly preserved. Lüneburg is situated in the northern part of Germany, on the banks of the Ilmenau River, 35 kilometers southeast of Hamburg, surrounded by Germany's largest nature reserve—the Lüneburg Heath, and only a 40-minute drive from Hamburg, with a population of about 65,000.
