Lanyon Homestead

#australiatrip Beautiful historic home set in iconic Australian countryside, restored and furnished in period detail. The tour was really interesting and I'd have been happy to hear even more about the families who lived in this home and the historical context of its development. The cafe is also very good. Fabulous gardens, homestead and buildings, farm sheds and implements. Good interpretive signs. Easy parking, access for prams and wheelchairs (watch if muddy). Great for kids, families, couples, groups, or the fossils.
