Korean Folk Village
#winhkflight Korean Folk Village is a place that can transport you back in time to the olden days or even in period drama settings. We really enjoyed our time at the Korean Folk Village because it gave us a break from the bustling city life and we were able to learn so much about the korean culture. It was an unforgettable trip. I would love to win the Hong Kong flight as I loved the food, culture, activities and I had an unforgettable time with my family and would love to be back to experience more local fare!

Cheese Making Euna Farm in Yeoju County
From Daegu we travelled to Yeoju and its take about 2 hours by a tour bus. Our groups consists of 13 peoples. In Yeoju, our destination will be at rural quite village Yeoju County, Gyeonggi-do. In the house there are many toys miniature all self-made by the owner. Our stop here will be cheese making and feeding the cows with milk session. A great experience in doing cheese in their workshop trained by one of their expertise ajomma ( aunty ). The farm produces various dairy products, including cheese, with fresh milk from the cows raised on the farm.
The trainer ( ajomma ) put the white curd made from fresh milk into 80-degree Celsius water and used wooden paddles to knead the cheese. While kneading, salts are added into it in order to achieve a quality cheese. The cheese was reinserted into the hot water again and kneaded some more, so that the salt would permeate throughout the cheese
.
Feeding the cows session were another great feeling....wow! look hungry they are....haha. Weather : chilling cold -6 deg celcius ( February )
Mouth-Watering Chicken Galbi @ Korea
Address: Kko Kko Dakgalbi Chuncheon is located at 1045 Bukhangangbyeon-ro, Gapyeong-eup, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is easily accessible via public transportation and is situated in a bustling area with many restaurants and shops right next to the jetty to Nami Island.
Ambiance/Facilities: The restaurant has a cozy and warm ambiance, with wooden interiors and dim lighting that adds to its charm. The seating is comfortable, and the atmosphere is lively and welcoming. The restaurant also has a small outdoor seating area that offers a great view of the surrounding area.
Highlights: The highlight of Kko Kko Dakgalbi Chuncheon is undoubtedly its delicious chicken galbi. The dish is cooked at your table on a hot plate, and the aroma is irresistible. The chicken is marinated in a spicy sauce that is perfectly balanced and not too overwhelming. The dish also comes with a variety of vegetables that complement the chicken galbi well. The restaurant also offers a range of other Korean dishes, such as kimchi fried rice and seafood pancake, that are equally delicious.
Avg. Price per Person: The average price per person at Kko Kko Dakgalbi Chuncheon is around 20,000 KRW. While it is not the cheapest option, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it worth the price.
Rating: Overall, I would give Kko Kko Dakgalbi Chuncheon a rating of 5 out of 5 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . The restaurant offers a great dining experience with mouth-watering food, a cozy ambiance, and friendly service. The only downside is that the restaurant can get quite crowded during meal hours, so it is recommended to make a reservation beforehand.

Steam Locomotive
This Steam Locomotive at Jangdan Station of the Gyeongui Line-7 was left in DMZ during the Korean War.
It has more than 1020 bullets holes and was registered cultural heritage in 2004.
This location was the site of Jangdan Station that was constructed as the Gyeongui Line was opened. Before the Korean War. The area around the station was concentrated with financial cooperatives and shopping centers. The station was burnt down along with Steam Locomotive at Jangdan Station on the Gyeongui Line during the Korean War. Only the platform, cargo handling area, and portions of the rail remain today. This historical facility gives us glimpse at the Korean War, division of Korea, and reunification at the same time.

The April 19th National Cemetery (also known as 4.19 National Cemetery) at the base of Bukhansan Mountain (northern part of Seoul) is a memorial for those who lost their lives during the called April 19th Revolution, in 1960. This area was open in 1995 and contains the tombs of the 224 people who died in that date. Surrounded with natural scenery, small streams and ponds, and with a diversity of trees it attracts many visitors mostly in Spring and Fall.

Chodae-gil trail, a walking trail near the base of Bukhansan Mountan, in the northern part of Seoul (near the limits with Gyeonggi-do), was open to conmemorate the inauguration of the Modern History Memorial Hall (located few minutes away from the starting point of this trail). During the trail, visitors can visit the tombs of those who fought and built the basis that formed the current Korean Republic. The total lenght of this trail is around 1.3Km, but it also connects to the Seoul Trail, so those who’d like to hike longer can take that trail.

This UNESCO world heritage site is about an hour and a half south of Seoul. I did this on my own. You can take the metro to Suwon station and then take a bus. Check with the tourist information office at Suwon station for details of the bus if you are confused. You need atleast half a day to do justice to this attraction. Entry ticket to the palace is 1,500 Korean won. There is a lot of walking and steep climbs, so be prepared. Don't miss the delicious dumplings sold in tiny restaurants in Suwon. On the way back I entered the food hall at Suwon station, a haven for yummy Korean food.

Korean Beef
Korean beef is the best beef in the world enjoyed with good friends and company! Will always enjoy Korean beef when I am in Korea as this is only available in this country because they do not export this meat out of the country. Everyone should try this authentic meat when they are in korea as it should not be missed and it must be on the priority list of things to do in Korea!

Recommended Places to Visit on Children's Day!
Address: 120-20, Songsan-ro 334beon-gil, Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do
Atmosphere/Facilities: Cacti Couple is a 600-pyeong cactus farm that also operates as a cafe. It features a variety of cacti as well as sand play areas, air bouncers, and photo zones that children will love.
Key Point: The fact that it's a greenhouse vinyl house means you can play there all year round, regardless of the weather, which is especially great. If you haven't decided where to go for Children's Day in 2024, I recommend Cacti Couple in Ilsan, Gyeonggi-do.
Average Price per Person: The admission fee is 10,000 won for both adults and children. It's a reasonable price since the fee includes unlimited time to play and a drink.

Gapyeong's "Deogang Cafe"
Although it's a bit far away, looking at the Bukhangang River makes you feel healed. There's a place to rest outside, and the place is packed. The cafe was much more atmospheric and clean after the snowfall.
I've been to many places, but the scenery here is the best.
It was a healing time because it was right in front of the river.
The scenery is delicious, and so is the coffee.
Sometimes there are surprise shows.
The view is great. Good coffee and tea
The scenery is good, and the coffee is delicious! I'll visit again next time
I came here while I was on Nami Island, and it was so beautiful😍I think it will soon become a hot topic.
It's a great cafe for a drink.
I'll be back soon
Sundaeguk, great to eat as a side dish
#dreamdestination
This is “Don Blanc,” a pork belly specialty restaurant. It's nice to be able to roast bean sprouts. In particular, they also sell a menu called “Sundaeguk”, which is great to eat as a side dish.
bakery located in Bundang

This is a bakery located in Bundang. The cakes are especially famous. I recommend “Red Velvet Cake”! Moderately sweet and delicious.
Dakgalbi restaurant

This is a famous Dakgalbi restaurant. We recommend ordering Udon Sari with Dakgalbi. After eating here, I went to see a movie! There is a movie theater nearby, so I recommend visiting it.
Laveniche March Avenue
#seoultrip
Opened in 2017, Laveniche March Avenue is a shopping district in Han River New Town, Gimpo. It is meant to replicate the canals of Venice. Even though the translation is Laveniche, I think it is meant to be translated as La Venice March Avenue. The 2.68km waterway looks to be especially beautiful on summer nights. You can rent cute paddleboats that light up at night. The course is 1.7km long. Alternatively, you can take in the atmosphere while going for a peaceful stroll along the water while shopping at the cute store along the way.
🇰🇷 Alpacas petting zoo
There is a petting zoo right outside Susan Park Cafe. These alpacas are located at their petting areas and they are managed by the Monsterrium shop. These alpacas are domesticated and they are much gentle animals. You can buy food and feed them over here. When you enter the Monsterrium, you can find more animals figurines. This is a place whereby you can see many freshwater species from fishes to turtles. It is like a small indoor zoo with an aquarium cafe. It is also an interesting place to have a first date for animal lovers.

🇰🇷 Arts Flea market at Gyeonggi-do
I am surprise when I headed to this Susan Park cafe but I guess it is a well-received experience. The cafe is setup with a few other cafes in a small area, like a small recreation area. There is also a small hotel nearby but the residential areas are further away. You will need a car to come here because the nearest bus stop is like 15 minutes walk away and have to walk alongside the road to come here. Once you get here, there is an arts and flea market here, exactly how it looks like in the Korean drama. The stalls at the flea market sell mainly clothes and household items. Sometimes you can get farmer items too and you can get seasonal fruits fresh from the farm. It is a great experience for me and there is a large carpark and parking is free.
