Writing Mountain

Take the JR all the way to Himeji and then take the bus (the bus license plate must have a direction to Shoshu Mountain). Get off at Shoshu and take the cable car. You can take the ancient temple to arrange a transportation bus for $500 when you pass the mountain. I walked up the mountain by myself. The scenery along the way was beautiful and you could see the whole picture of Himeji Castle. It took about half an hour to reach the thousand-year-old temple, especially in autumn when the whole mountain is covered with red maple leaves and the thousand-year-old temple makes your heart more peaceful. It's worth a visit, but this trip took a whole day and it was already past eight o'clock in the evening when we returned to Osaka. People who go to the mountain should pay attention to the time of the last bus.
