A must-visit family-friendly hotel with tons of activities and fun! Personally test the water slide and the State Guest Room, with fun tips included!

Seizing the tail end of summer, Shawn stayed at another must-visit 👍🏻 family-friendly theme park hotel, the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel. There are three hotels in Hong Kong Disneyland, and now only the Disneyland Hotel and the Explorers Hotel are open. The Disneyland Hotel is six stories high and has a Victorian palace design. In addition to Disney's dream element - Mickey Maze, it is also surrounded by the seaside. It definitely feels like a resort, where you can temporarily get away from the hustle and bustle of life and relax. This time we used the "Reward Your Stay" offer because we didn't want to worry about food and beverage, so we booked a king-size bed terrace room in the Ambassador Hall. The original price was $3,000, but we reduced it by $500. The check-out time was 11 a.m., but we could check-out late until 12 p.m. We requested a crib and bed rails in advance, and we received a Mickey cake and towel cake to celebrate my birthday. The service was excellent and nothing was left behind. Apart from the problems with water pressure and temperature, the rest of the room facilities are well maintained. The bathroom terrace is large enough to overlook the garden maze and the seaside. The staff met along the way are very polite and willing to help. They will also take the initiative to clean the room in the evening. The opening hours of the State Guest Room 🍴 are from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm. Snacks and meals are free all day. The semi-buffet breakfast is from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, and the dining time is 45 minutes. You can choose Chinese or Western breakfast. The portion is sufficient and delicious. Don’t forget to order the Mickey Waffle! However, please note that the evening dining time is from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Beer and wine are available, but it is also limited to 45 minutes. Only a small number of appetizers and snacks are provided, and there is no noodles or rice. Although everything is delicious, I personally feel that the time is tight and it is not suitable for children. The rest of the time, the State Guest Room provides homemade assorted cookies, popcorn, fresh fruits and drinks. However, I had to ask the staff on that day if they had Mickey cookies, and he said they were out of stock 😆. The State Guest Room has limited activities, such as craft classes, nighttime baby story time, and Disney friends wearing pajamas to meet everyone. The schedule is provided upon check-in. Individual activities require registration and then time slots are arranged for children. Because there are so many free and self-funded activities, it is recommended that you check in early. If you don’t have a room, you can still participate in the activities or eat and rest in the State Guest Room. We first went to play high-riding trucks outdoors. The venue is not big, and there is no need to queue on weekdays. Three children can play at a time. When there are many people, only two circles can be played at a time. It is recommended for children over 100 cm tall to play. If the child is small, he can play tricycles on the sidelines. Afterwards, we went to the multi-purpose sports field, where there are simple amusement facilities suitable for younger children, such as slides, scooters, manual pulleys, drawing rooms, etc. The tennis court next to it can be rented for free. However, these facilities are only open for a short time, from 3pm to 5 or 6pm, so everyone should make good use of their time after checking in. After that, it was the most anticipated swimming💦, because the swimming pool of Disneyland Hotel has a water slide😍, which is not available at Explorers Paradise Hotel. And there is also an indoor swimming pool, so you will definitely not be disappointed. No reservation is required for the swimming pool now, it is first come first served, each session is 1 hour, and life jackets of different sizes are available for children. There are more mosquitoes in the outdoor swimming pool, and it is not a constant temperature swimming pool. What attracts Shawn most is its water slide, which can be played by adults and children. The only drawback is that after getting in the water, you have to walk up a long flight of stairs and queue up, waiting for the previous guest to safely leave the water before you can play. However, Shawn has played it many times! The indoor swimming pool is heated and has no special recreational facilities. Other self-funded activities include Mickey Sports Games, Mickey Treasure Hunt, Golf ⛳️, etc. We also went to the playroom to play. I believe everyone has been there. The space is not very large, there is a limit on the number of people, each session is 45 minutes, there are no slides or climbing facilities, and the basic facilities are suitable for younger children. There are Disney Tai Chi classes in the morning. Different Disney characters will teach everyone Tai Chi every day. Due to the epidemic, there are restrictions on the number of people and distance when meeting and interacting with Disney friends. If you can't make it in time to line up, you can also watch from the side or on the stairs. The only difference is that you can't take selfies with Disney characters. There is also a large lawn next to the Disneyland Hotel 🌳, which was introduced when we went on a picnic before. It is a place where you can relax, play with bubbles, take photos and run freely! It is recommended that you stay for two days and three nights, first visit the park, and then spend a day playing in the hotel. Unless you have booked a suite that includes the State Guest Room, it is not recommended to pay extra to stay in the State Guest Room. Instead, you can choose to order room service or make reservations at the park's restaurants in advance.
