The heart of cosmopolitan HK, Central

Central is the beating heart of Hong Kong and home to some of it’s most cosmopolitan streets and hubs, located on the south side of Victoria harbour the area is easily accessible by bus, taxi, ferry and of course central metro station. The area is famous for it’s cafes, restaurants and shopping along with its iconic steep streets and escalator system. You can take the escalators up the alley ways to cut between main streets, keeping an eye out for smaller independent places on the way up. I love the area for it’s choices of coffee shops and patisseries, no matter what type or coffee you like you will find something for you. There are lots of quick places for on the go coffee, smaller places to sit for some snacks and more up market cafes with seating for longer if you’re planning some work or want to kill some time reading. As you work your way towards admiralty you will find some of central’s more famous landmarks, including the iconic bank of china tower, HSBC building and the court of final appeal.
