First Time in Hong Kong with Kids: Your Complete Guide

If you're also taking your child to Hong Kong for the first time, check out my relaxed itinerary—four days and three nights that won't tire you out at all ✌️ Day 1: First Impressions of Hong Kong For accommodation, we chose Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel & Prince Hotel, located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui 👍. Harbour City and Victoria Harbour are right downstairs, and the subway station is within walking distance, making travel super convenient! Accommodation experience: Both hotels offer spacious and bright rooms. We had two connecting rooms, and the area is significantly larger than most other Hong Kong hotels! Kids can have their own little sports day inside 😂 Restaurant dining: The hotel restaurants offer a rich variety of international cuisine and authentic Hong Kong delicacies! For dinner, you must visit Cucina! This authentic Italian restaurant features Chef Andrea who is an expert on Italian ingredients—every dish is a premium experience! The restaurant also boasts beautiful Victoria Harbour views, definitely worth a visit! Prince Hotel's SAVVY restaurant offers various gourmet options including 🦞 and Thai cuisine! You must try everything! The Tom Yum soup is rich and flavorful! Every dish leaves you wanting more. We ate until our bellies were full every day ✌️ Day 2: LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, Non-Stop Family Fun From the hotel, we headed to Hong Kong LEGOLAND Discovery Centre! It's about a 10-minute walk! There are many interactive installations where children can play to their heart's content. We were lucky to catch the 75th anniversary Formula One racing event! My child built two cars 🚗 and raced against the staff to win two small medals 🥇—they were absolutely thrilled 😄. Before leaving, we watched an interesting 4D movie 🎬, which both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed! In the afternoon, we participated in the Prince Hotel's family activity—a beverage-making course! We learned about the five tastes 👅: sour, sweet, bitter, salty, and umami! We made layered drinks and followed the instructor to shake shake shake 🫨, earning a small completion certificate 😂. We DIY'd our child's favorite pink drink! The whole process was highly engaging for both adults and children! In the evening, despite the rain ☔️, we were determined to ride the Ferris wheel in Central! 🎡 The Star Ferry pier ⛵️ is right next to the hotel. We chose the Central direction 🧭 and sat on the upper deck for better views! The ferry doesn't stop for rain! The journey takes 3-5 minutes, and you quickly reach the other side! The Ferris wheel is connected to the pier—just follow the signs to the elevator! The view of Victoria Harbour in the rain is also beautiful! Definitely worth checking out! Day 3: Hong Kong Disneyland for Family Fun Time 🎉 How could we visit Hong Kong without going to Disneyland! After a hearty breakfast, we walked to Tsim Sha Tsui subway station 🚇 to start our Disney adventure! Children over 102cm can enjoy almost everything except Grizzly Gulch! We managed to experience all the attractions in one day! When we got back to the hotel, we fell asleep immediately 😂 ✨ This four-day, three-night Hong Kong trip allowed us to deeply experience the charm of Hong Kong and the family-friendly atmosphere of both hotels. Whether it's the location, accommodation experience, or dining options, everything was memorable.
