The Tai Po Railway Museum, formerly the old Tai Po Market Station built in 1913, is still well preserved and full of history. The station’s traditional architectural style, with exquisite roof decoration and brick walls, adds to the entire environment. There are many interviews inside the old Tai Po Market Railway Station building, as well as exhibits detailing the operation of various sections of the railway. There are several decommissioned trains outside the building for people to board and take pictures. What impressed me the most was the ancient carriage using wooden benches, which exuded the simplicity and elegance of the old times. Each exhibit tells the story of how the railway connects communities and promotes Hong Kong's development. After lunch, arrive at Hung Hom Station by MTR to visit the “See You at the Station” railway exhibition and experience another part of railway history. What was profound about the exhibition was the ability to get up close and personal again with the original electrified trains, with the orange seats evoking memories of my past rides.
