Wan Chai Pier Waterfront Promenade: A weekend family-friendly space.

It has been years since I last visited Wan Chai Pier. This time, I took the Star Ferry across from Tsim Sha Tsui and discovered this waterfront promenade in front of the pier, adding a splash of color to the harborfront. The open space in front of the pier has been transformed with artificial grass and relaxation facilities suitable for both adults and children. Passersby can also take a break and sit down before continuing their journey. The area features various artistic installations, including replicas of Hong Kong street name signs and a wall of locks. At night, the lights make the place vibrant and colorful. Nearby, there’s also a former Kowloon-Canton Railway train known as the "Only Stop at the Waterfront." You can visit it next time and even step inside the train compartments for a photo op. 😌
