Hong Kong Airport Plaza Premium Lounge | A Detailed Experience Review

During my layover at Hong Kong Airport, I used my DragonPass to experience the Plaza Premium Lounge. Here's my honest review to share with everyone! 📍Location & Environment: The Plaza Premium Lounge is located on the 7th floor of the Midfield Concourse in Terminal 1, near gates 201-230. If your boarding gate is within this range, it's very convenient. Look out for the signs when searching for it; the location is relatively easy to find. The overall space isn't very large, but it's not crowded, so it doesn't feel noisy. The decor follows an "airport jungle" concept, with plenty of greenery, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Seating includes sofas and regular chairs. The sofas are softer but limited in number, while the regular chairs are harder with low backrests, making them less comfortable for long periods. There are plenty of charging stations, but mainland devices require an adapter. 🍱Dining Experience: The food selection isn't extensive, but the taste is decent. There's a hot food section featuring Hong Kong specialties like curry fish balls, which are a must-try—bouncy and flavorful. Other options include stir-fried noodles and fried rice, perfect for carb lovers. There are also cold dishes, fruits, and desserts. Among the desserts, the cheesecake stands out—not overly rich. The beverage area offers a coffee machine, soda dispenser, as well as red wine and beer, providing a good variety. However, there's no live noodle station, which is a slight drawback compared to other lounges. 💁♂️Service & Facilities: The staff are friendly, and the check-in process is quick and efficient. Unfortunately, there are no shower facilities or sleeping pods, making it less ideal for deep rest. The Wi-Fi speed is average, with occasional buffering when streaming videos. Overall, it's suitable for a short break and a quick meal. If you're looking for a more comfortable place to spend a long layover, you might want to consider other options.
