Dragon Boat Festival Visit to the Hong Kong Palace Museum

Latest Rotation of Qing Dynasty Military Exhibits! If you want to avoid the scorching sun and rain outdoors during the Dragon Boat Festival, visiting a museum is the best choice! Coincidentally, my old home, the Hong Kong Palace Museum, has rotated its exhibits again. Among them is the special exhibition in Gallery 4, showcasing Qing Dynasty military artifacts, including some newly displayed items that have never been seen before! The newly exhibited treasures include: ✴️ Cloth armor from the Plain White and Bordered White Banners (previously from the Plain Yellow and Bordered Yellow Banners) ✴️ Metal waist tags of the Yuanmingyuan musket squad ✴️ Three autumn training illustrations of the Jianrui Battalion (hard to photograph through the glass) ✴️ Inspection of the Navy by Minister Wang painting (replaced with three other pieces) ✴️ Three sectional maps of the Guangdong Humen Fort (replacing the ship formation and Beiyang Navy regulations) Although Emperor Qianlong's golden-threaded helmet has been sent back to Beijing for restoration and maintenance, other items, including 20 military sabers and three massive battle scrolls, are still on display, offering visitors a chance to see them!
